Tearing Apart - Ichiban Japan Expo 08: Judges choice winner!

"A video I created for the swedish convention, Ichiban Japan Expo 2008's AMV contest.
The video was created in a rush and has a lot of technical issues, I am aware.
I could not fix these due to the projectfile getting deleted along with my whole HDD.
Luckily, I was able to contact the coordinator before she got rid of the amv's and was able to get a hold of the low-qual XviD file I sent in.

The file-size is big, the quality is mid-core, there are framerate issues,
but still I like this video in a certain way.
Thus is why I decided to, after over a year of having it on my HDD, upload this finally.

It was a fun project and I hope you enjoy it as much as I remember enjoying making it.
"

File-size is huge, but hope you watch it anyway.
You could always just, instead of downloading it, watch the preview.
Thanks.

so Blue October are basically 3 Doors Down revisited, aren't they?

also horribly shallow and passionless scene selection

<removed> dont like Zetzu's new vid
<Vivaldi> Me niether
<removed> multi-anime drama vids really have died for me D=
<removed> i used to like them
<Vivaldi> I mean it's good, but it just seems kinda bland
<removed> now its just 'meh'
<removed> its not too hard to find good moments in a lot of drama anime and stick them together if you watch a lot
<removed> the hard part is pulling off a powerful song with just the one anime
Using a series of commonly used scenery porn and animation doesn't really work too well if your video has pretentions to being anything other than eye candy. Well done, but oh so very paint-by-the-numbers generic.

However:
but still I like this video in a certain way.
Thus is why I decided to, after over a year of having it on my HDD, upload this finally.

That's basically exactly what I said when I posted my own soulless eye-candy video. So I'm not gonna rag on this.

Animated & Mamo: Thanks, glad you guys liked it ^^

Ingow: Kay, thanks for checking it out though. Also, I like Blue October. If you don't then that's your problem, not mine.

Vivaldi:
I didn't edit this to be a eye-candy kind of video. I put scenes I thought fit well to the song.
I didn't chose the scenes in order of how 'pretty' they were. Yet I will agree that multi-anime videos nowadays are really boring most of the time. Although, the main reason of this video's creation was to make something for the AMV contest hosted by the convention I was going to attend that coming weekend. And multi-anime videos, in my opinion, are easier to put together quickly than single-anime videos are.
Main reason for that is that there are a lot of more scenes to chose from while trying to make the video match the lyrics of the video.
As stated in the info, the video was rushed. Created in one day. I only made this for the sake of making it.
The main reason I like it is cause I am in love with the song. The editing is not anything special at all.

But, thanks for checking it out. Too bad you didn't enjoy it.

Wait, isn't this old? I remember watching this on youtube a long while back... is this a revised version?

no it's the same. only cut out the swedish message at the end.
Well putting this aside, I liked this video but the last scene from ef was something I think should have been altered. And sometimes the film effect seemed kind of at random so it didn't fit well with me. 4/5  still a good video though.
