alright, gut reactions:

01 - yes, yes you are.
02 - gurren trailer
05 - was greatly amused. Big grins, but wouldn't watch again.
06 - Nice. Don't think I didn't notice the repetitions.
10 - hentai that tries to be funny
11 - cute [could have stopped at 2:30 IMO, but still not bad]
12 - Not too bad for a simple idea, but it lacked some intensity. Could have left more of an impact.
13 - not my cup of tea hentai
15 - simple. straight to the point. not too bad.
17 - very consistent, but didn't feel like it went anywhere.
18 - hehe. groan laugh.
20 - C'est une story. Bravo, not bad.
23 - nice. thanks for ruining... hello kitty for me...
24 - happy
26 - there was a hole in the sky, then it ended.
27 - 'feel-good amv' felt good
31 - kinda cute.
32 - 2nd gurren trailer
33 - I didn't even realize what the title was before I said 'groovy'

42 - Enjoyed that a lot.

48 - It had a central focus, so that was good, but lacked... IDK

Okay, voting's open. I think the categories are stabilized but..well..let's just say it's subject to change for a day or two.

There are actually a lot of finalists considering how many videos were entered initially. Not many videos are in more than one category. I saw maybe like, four that were in more than one and that was it.

Even so, I wouldn't have expected only three nominees for Best In Show. Only a few categories even have four options.

I agree with Kit, it feels like there are very few finalists this year. Made voting real fast though as my choices for certain catagories were real easy since some of the ones I thought were surefire finalists didn't make it afterall.

Ah several of the ones I considered winners for the catagories didn't even make the finals. Interesting how it all works out but I would like a 4th option for the categories that don't have them...

But I do appreciate all the effort that goes into running this contest. There is a reason I almost never enter other conventions contests... I think I've submitted to 2 contests that weren't AWA in my 10 plus years of editing whereas AWA and pro specifically I always try and have at least something.

I counted them up and unless I'm mistaken, there are 3 videos in the finalists in 3 different categories, 3 videos in the finalists for 2 different categories, and 23 videos that are finalists in only a single category. Making for 29 out of a possible 49 to make it to the finals. Incidentally, the 3 that are in the finalists in 3 different categories, are all in it for Best in Show
