Tears are from the heart {A Clannad AMV for AWA Expo}

Hello everyone. After almost 4 months of planning, story boarding, editing, and fine tuning; I am very proud to announce that I have finally completed my Clannad AMV for AWA's 2009 Expo competition. This is without a doubt my best one yet, and I really hope you all enjoy it. My goal is to make as many people cry as possible.

NOTE: The quality for this video is significantly lowered when streaming it. So for this reason, downloading it is highly recommended.)

So, the guy that always comments, makes an amv... Lets see...

I found it quite... simple. One the one hand, we have a song that fits very nice, not to say perfectly with the anime. Also, the lip sync was quite nice, with the exception of one or two mistakes. On the other hand... i have the impression that you haven't edited as much as you could. I thought in the second half that i was watching just a sequence of scenes, nothing special.

Anyway, good job! I expected more from you, but it was ok 3/5 Keep it up!

I'm glad that you think the Lip sync was nice. This amv was my first serious attempt at lip sync, so the scenes actually came out better than I had even hoped. And once I realized how effective it is to use mask and overlays, I started to really put some hard work into timing the words

Oh and, the impression that you got about "me not editing as much as I could" is probably due to the fact that lately I've only been making amvs for cons. Within the last year, I've only made 3 amvs. One for AWA 08 in September, one for Momocon 09 in March, and this one for AWA 09. I'm about to start working on a lot more projects though. This amv was also the first one that I've made without using Windows Movie Maker. So I'm pretty eager to test out a few more features of Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro 9.0.

Anyways, I thought this was very sweet. Really wish you did more with the editing though.

Like I know you probably wanted to show all of clannad's story, but you just jumped right to where nagisa got pregnant. Iono that just bugged me. Then after that it all just dragged on

In the end it wasn't amazing, but not horrible. 3/4

yeah, I know. I tried to have a smoother transition from when Nagiasa was in school and when she got pregnant, but I built the entire amv around the scene where she dies and Rob Thomas says "She will be alright, just not tonight". That was actually the very first scene that I edited.

you thought it was sweet? Then I guess I achieved my goal......kinda LOL I wanted this to be a tear jerk-er, but being sweet is good two.
