If i say that i didn't like it, will i hurt your feelings?

Seriously now, the song just wasn't my cup of tea. And yeah... your amv was quite simple... and... romantic...and.... nice... and... wtf, 3.5/5 :D

I liked this video. The editing was fairly simple, but that made the AMV more effective.

The only thing I really didnt like was how this video was NOTHING but fades...every clip faded to another clip.
Spoiler :
except the scene where he gives her the ring...

But for the most part I still enjoyed it.
4/5
I had a conversation with Koop about my use of fades and it came down to that using a straight cut vs a fade didn't look right to me and ultimately, its how I wanted to edit the video. Could I have used straight cuts more? yes, did I want to? no. It's how I wanted it to be edited.

I love the original by Tracy Chapman and honestly, I was a bit worried when the video first started, knowing the whole song and all >>;;
(Note that I didn't read your comments before I watched...too excited, couldn't wait :P)

But nah, you cut it perfectly and made it all uplifting and such :3
Very simple and very pretty, you know I love it =D

Hail to the king! X3
It's a nice cover, IMO. Glad you like it.

It was fadetastic, which is awesome.
Fadetastic is a good way of putting it, lol. Glad you liked it.

Thanks, glad you like my videos.

Very cute in my opinion. Simplistic bit I think simple fits this anime well.
Not trying to make anything spectacular, simple is how I roll... most of the time.
Eva-Fan wrote:After about the half way mark I cringed every time it faded to the next track. Seriously I was enjoying the AMV but the fades just got way to redundant. Would of benefited from some transitional diversity or even just straight up cuts... I don't know some soft camera dynamics or something seriously anything. Damn it would of been a hell of an enjoyable sentimental vid too if I didn't start... "fade".... "fade"... "fade"... "yup"...

Aside from that I still managed to enjoy the mood and slice of life/bliss it gave off. 3/5
Again, as mentioned before, I tried straight cuts, didn't like. I'm not necessarily telling a story from beginning to end but trying to convey an emotion throughout the entire video.
Falconone wrote:Hm, Pwolf... new vid... gets/
Edit:
hm... really not bad, but a motorbike is not a car :P
All in all, it was a very nice work with good flow and emotions, i really like it, also when i dont like this anime...
doesn't have to be a car. The song itself isn't about the car. AND HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE AMG?!?! :|!!!

No, everyone has the right to their own opinion.

You're definitely the only one able to do such vids.
This one itself was pretty good but that type of romance just seems utopian (and ridiculous for the absence of kisses) so that I just can't be sensitive to the story of the 2 characters ^^

This was a really enjoyable video. Despite the fact that you used a lot of fade ins, I feel that you timed them perfectly. And when I say perfectly, I really mean perfectly. Your amv was just so smooth and consistent that I feel that a lot of people that attempt to make sentimental amvs could really learn a thing or two from this video. It has a nice plot, great feeling, awesome anime, song and scene selection, and emotion and perfect transitions.

I give this amv a 4.8 out of 5

Oh and one more thing. Do you remember exactly how long your transitions were? In a sentimental amv that i am currently working on, I made most of my fade in transitions exactly one second long. Were your transitions shorter or longer?

Yea, unfortunately the only kiss you ever see is a peak on the on the cheek. not very helpful when trying to make a romance video.

Nothing is absolute. I would say never constrain yourself to one thing (this coming from someone who makes videos with a lot of fades). I listen to the music and decide how long the transition needs to be based on that. Then I go over it a few times to make sure it sounds and looks right. I if it needs to be longer or shorter, i change it... then rinse and repeat until it's exactly how I want it.

Dawww it's sweet :3

And I don't mind the fades, it's easier to focus on the theme when you do simple edits. And this video is really solid for sticking to it.
