A musical theme

Post by ultimateX021 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:35 pm

I'm looking for an anime that fits the following theme to a song by Apocalyptica:

Theme: The struggle between war and peace.

War and peace are the embodiment of two male characters. One of them fights for peace and prosperity, but the other fights for the thrill of taking down all who stand in his way. In the song I have chosen, war fits the guitar riffs and peace fits the cello tunes. This is an action-oriented amv settled in a musical style fight sequence. Both have the same enemy, but they struggle in doing it because their goals are not the same. Will they settle their differences or turn onto each other?

What anime contains this theme and what two characters carry it out?

Whoops! Let me rephrase the question.

I meant to ask what anime has at least two characters fitting one of the themes: war and peace.

If that is difficult to find out, then what character from one anime to another at least fits either theme. Once I have the proper equipment, I might mix in two characters from a different anime.

I would also suggest The Tower of Druaga and X/1999

You might want to check out Sengoku Basura. It's still a relatively new anime, so not a lot of footage. I am having trouble pinpointing a character that strives for peace, except maybe the traveling guy with a monkey on his shoulder (forget his name). You could pick one of many different characters for the domination style character. I think you should be able to watch one episode and get a good grasp of the plot and decide whether or not you could use it.

Thank you all for such helpful suggestions. At first, I thought about Scryed, but I've seen that anime used for action a lot. I thought it would be better to use an anime that hasn't been used quite often.

I read the description on these two characters in Wikipedia. It looks like these two could fit my theme. I just gotta watch a couple episodes to see how this anime flows.

The Tower of Druaga and Shining TearsXwind sound nice. Don't know about X/1999 or Kiba. Those two sound great, but I'm going to have to watch some episodes to evaluate them. Thank god we have video sites.

So, they have an anime series based off of Samurai Warriors. Looks interesting, but still looking. I will, however, watch at least a few episodes. It might be the anime I'm looking for.
