  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Some people can get away with zero concept and storytelling if the editing is good enough, but in this case just doing flashes and rapid cuts to sync to the beats simply doesn't do it. I know you put this together in less than a day, but you really, REALLY could have put more effort into it and taken more time to think of more creative things to do.

You used a trance song and footage that didn't have crappy animation. :nono:

I found it to be a pleasant, if forgettable, experience.

Yue summed it up pretty accurately for me.
Radical_Yue wrote:You hacked the song down and it was just random pretty scenes to an awesome song that was cut to a sad length. It was pointless and there was nothing special about it to make it stand out from the thousands of other videos with the exact same sources and the exact same plot (NONE).
While I don't quite agree it warrented a 1/5, I do think that there was nothing really captivating about this. The editing was pretty standard, and I'll be blunt, those initial fade in/outs damn well hurt my eyes. They weren't needed and you could have blended them together a lot more smoothly, even if (and I know you were going for this) you wanted to have a clear sync point. There was a lack of anything to follow, be it scene selection or story. Because of this I hardly cared what it was that I was seeing. Even maintaining a small sense of flow would have greatly helped spark a little bit of interest in this, make the viewer look forward to something. There was nothing.

It was the slow parts of this AMV which redeemed it in my eyes. They weren't great, but they seemed tenfold better than when you were trying to sync every scene to a sound when the beat picked up. Overall a 2.5/5, I didn't hate it, but there was a lot more you could have done to make me like it. Hopefully you'll take these things into account next time, and I look forward to your improvement.

that certain something of a good trance video was missing.
i like the beginning, but the rest was a little bit boring.
think it was because you used too much scenes of the same anime in a row e.g. the Air-part
