  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Fair enough. Maybe I can shed some light on my thoughts behind the video for you.

Actually, most of the scenes were carefully chosen to fit the music and lyrical mood, with a little character progression thrown in. There was also a focus on many different characters going through the same thing, so rather than try to show each of their individual stories in great detail, the focus is more on the bigger picture of all of them together. I suppose if you focused too much on the individual details, it could appear random.

The central theme of the video when looked at as a whole, is seeing the light in the darkness and finding hope in even the most miserable of situations. This transformation from dark to light, despair to hope, that occurs across all of the characters' situations is really the core of the video.

I can't really blame you for having your own preference, though. Perhaps this post helps you to at least understand where I'm coming from. Thank you for the comment, anyways.

i really think this is one of the most profound drama videos i've ever seen. while a specific story isn't being conveyed, imo it wasn't necessary. for me, the scene selection and placement was such a powerful combination that it has me glued the entire time watching. i really feel like the characters convey the emotion the song is trying to portray, and feed off of one-another. it's a very unified video. and the turn in the end is what really drives it home and makes it a whole well rounded video. thru all their strife and suffering, their hope endured. very inspirational video and it's now in my top 10

oh btw, inaaca
Spoiler :
one of my prizes from Otafest was the ENTIRE Haibane Renmei series

It's a pretty good video... however, I have to concur that it felt as though that the drama wasn't really created with the scenes portrayed...but the general feel of the video worked with the song. Classed as a Sentimental video, it's very good to say the least.

I'll still give it 4/5 though, it's a good effort overall :) .

Cool, you've done a good job with that. I'm a bit leery of 'drama' with many sources, but you did do nicely in capturing the lows and highs for a whole gaggle of sources here. And in the end it works pretty well, and the editing is right up my alley. Good show
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
