Plus some people tend to go overboard with their sigs...on some sites, a person will have a one word post and that have a half page worth of sigs which gets annoying to scroll through...

600x80 = 6 x 200x40 bannersPas wrote:THINK OF THE DIAL-UP USERS! THINK OF US ;_;
Truthfully I don't see the need to increase signature dimensions, after all they should really only inform users of what new AMVs you made or contain links to useful/interesting sites. I don't see how making them any larger would help that, other than make them more obvious (which I don't really think is required)
800x80 = 8 x 200x40 banners
The improvement = 33%
I say again, that's why I am for the keeping of the 80 pixel limit, so the scrolling stays the same, unbroken.「ijexis」 wrote:...

There seems to be quite a bit of a difference, but like the others I don't really care much of the outcome.

-_- Apologies, I should read more. Well, open mouth, insert foot =|
The 800x80 image breaks window and makes the posts boxes uneven on my screen.

That looks pretty nice with my monitors resolution.8bit_samurai wrote:There seems to be quite a bit of a difference, but like the others I don't really care much of the outcome.

Yeah, just like the rest, Im cool with the current size but I wouldn't complain if the size was upped some.
If it does get approved, I think the 600x80 would work the best because the 800x80 does stretch the table.

Okay...I decided to give 1280x1024 res a hot and whilst the posts line up much better with 800x80...I feel uncomfortable with the sharpness of the text...

Re: Width of the signature
lol i messed my post up.
Thats what i get for popin in while im in the middle of editing. >.>
I wanted to say i like the way that 800x80 one looked better than the 600x80 one on my resolution even though it stretched the post a bit.
For some reason the post looked stretched when i first saw
it but looked fine when i was logged off, then looked stretched when i logged back on again.
It must have been something with my browser? o.O
Im probably just seeing things...

Re: Width of the signature
I run 1680x1050 on my desktop systems, but my netbook is considerably smaller. What works for one tends to screw up the other. I'd suggest the requirements stay the same for the sake of mobile browsers if certain items on the main site weren't already borked at lower resolutions anyways.
