The movies were announced a long time ago... I am just sad about the choice in actor for Zuko.
Also, the scar is probably going to be added via special effects after the fact.

Since this is M.Night Shyamalan, I'm guessing the ending of the movie reveals that it all took place in modern times Central Park. Maybe the entire fire clan is defeated by spilling a glass of water on them. Or the Southern Water Tribe lives in a swimming pool. Something like that. I'm not sure how he's going to fuck everything all up and make the audience say 'Give me a fucking break' but I'm sure he will.
