12th Anniversay Special Trailer

Post by Kairih » Thu Apr 30, 2009 2:33 pm

Video: 12th Anniversary Special Trailer
Category: Trailer
Anime: Final Fantasy 7 (VII), Final Fantasy 7 (VII): Advent Children (OVA), Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (PSP), Final Fantasy VII: Dirge Of Cerberus (PS2)
Song: Serenata (choir)
Artist: Immediate Music
Creator: Kairih

Okay, I was contacted by ffdream.com (is it spam?) to make this video :)
So I didn't chose the title but they chose it for me (I never thought that this trailer is special or things like that  [I usually don't like my works xD])
I made it for the 12th anniversary of one of my favourite game, Final Fantasy VII (I love that game :o )
Sorry for the strange combination english/japan. I'd regret the combination of english voices with japan voices after I finished the video....DX
And I don't like the beginning that much, it doesn't really fix on with the whole video.
I accept every kind of comments ♥ but constructive criticism are my fav 8-)
Enjoy? xD

 I've seen this before but I'll DL so I can have a nice snazzy copy of my own.

Anyway great job hun,you know I like it ;)

But since you want constructive comments,I'll give you that too

Thrilling and intense.Voiceovers were good.I liked how you introduced the characters, that part was nice.I didn't really mind the switch between the two languages but I would have liked some subs for the Japanese part cause I only managed to catch a few words and they didn't make sense on their own.Couple of scenes uncropped but they weren't that noticeable. Some shakes were a bit iffy near the start. The texture overlay was nice but felt out of place at some parts of the trailer, especially at the death scene with Aerith,I didn't like it there.Oh and I liked the text at the beginning, was that AE? :D

You know... For what this was trying to accomplish, this was actually pretty good.

I didn't like the cheesy color overlays (looked too much like dirt....), and I felt that the VG footage could have been a lot cleaner. Also the going back and forth between english and japanese was sort of irritating. >_> Oh, and the fonts for the director and producer should have matched the previous fonts for the central characters. Also, many of the effects were no necessary.

Other than that though, it was very nice. The editing to the background noise and the speaking part was really quite nice, and again, for what it was trying to accomplish, it accomplished it. :D I could totally see this being played on some sort of television commercial like X-Play, or perhaps at a VG conference.

xD yeah! I know what you mean! I regret so much that choice.... Me and my strange thoughts xD
I don't know what I was thinking when I took the decision to combine japan voices with english voices O.o

But thank you so much for all the advices ♥ I know that they will be helpfull! :D

It's a nice tribute to the franchise. I was a little "eh.." on the random english voices but I enjoyed it overall.

great vid  a shame about the quality in places and the aspect ratio of Crisis Core but its hard to mix sources from different media together so a good effort. I liked the inclusion of english and jap vocals, added a lot to the feel of the vid.

Well, I watched this, and I watched most of the rest of your work. I think this video has the same issues that the rest of your videos do. A lot of ugly color correction and disgusting effects with bad composition. I think you need to work on your editing more and worry less about making your shit look pretty. I'd probably give this about a 2 if not for the different languages and the terrible effects, but as it is now I'd honestly give it a 1/5. Sorry if that sounds harsh but that's my opinion on the video.

Well, I usually accept every kind of comments but your comment wasn't really nice :/
I mean, as I already said, I'm open to criticisms, but this criticism was a bit "rude", that's all :)
But thank you for the rest of the comment :D:D I will try to fix that problems :)
