TC, I'm not sure if he's complaining more about the file size or about the amv. I havent watched it yet, but still 192 MB for a 1:21 long video is way too big. It has nothing to do with it being 720p-30fps. Just compare it to other videos of that resolution. Nostromo's Running Man at 720p-60fps at 2:45 is 149 MB. That's twice the frame rate and duration. I can go down the list of other 720p videos that are a much smaller file size than yours. Skittles is 84 MB at 720p-24fps with a duration of 4:43. So, yeah you didnt compress it properly

Both were entertaining, no complaints there.
Not meaning to be an ass, either, but the audio still sounds bad because it's 24kHz. Which makes me think it's your editing program that's downsampling the frequency rather than keeping it at 44.1kHz or 48kHz.
That encode isn't 720p (1280x720), though - it's still 848x480 (meaning, 480p), unless there's something horribly wrong with my computer and my grandparents' computer. And the filesize is explainable because it's in CineForm HD, which is not a distribution codec. I'm not sure if it's lossless or not, though. It could be more similar to DV. All I know is that converting it to Lagarith inflated the size to 272MB.LittleAtari wrote:TC, I'm not sure if he's complaining more about the file size or about the amv. The video is in Cineform HD, and the output did say when I saved it that it was in 720-30p, that is why I said it is what it is, cause....that is what it is XD.................XDD.
Other than the codec, I can't really explain the large filesize for it.
Onto the audio. I use Sony Vegas 7, But I can't figure out the reason why it does that to the audio. I guess it's because, other than mixing audio, I don't really know how to change the sampling rate without it mucking up the timing to my video or the song being all jumpy. THat's what happens when I try, it either gets jumpy, or goes offbeat to my video. I might not be doing it right. If anyone can tell me, it would be awesome.
And sorry about my attitude with you, Gidrasan, I just don't put up with BS. Try and sum up your thoughts more next time, please. I would be appreciative of that.

Re: IC Time-The Castle And The Chaotic Moon + T.C. Vs. Neverend
I think what happened is that it was referring to 720 width, whereas 720p refers to height (and most often, a width of 1280). I did notice that changing the FourCC to DVSD and playing the video with Media Player Classic it acted as though it was flagged to 720x480, although I have no idea why (I changed the FourCC because I can't install the NEO Player on my computer due to it being too old; DVSD isn't proper at all and gave me garbage video, but it did let me see what was going on with the container).TwilightChrono wrote:The video is in Cineform HD, and the output did say when I saved it that it was in 720-30p, that is why I said it is what it is, cause....that is what it is XD.................XDD.
I have no experience with Vegas whatsoever, but if its settings are controlled anything like Premiere's, then there's one group that determines Project Settings that are used internally and another that determines Export Settings and only affect the output. Ideally, they should be the same as each other and the same as the audio source being used. Other than that, you are using PCM (Uncompressed Wave) to edit, and not MP3 or some other compressed format, right?Onto the audio. I use Sony Vegas 7, But I can't figure out the reason why it does that to the audio. If that fails, as long as you haven't done any manipulation of the audio in the video editor, you can just use the original audio file and either compress that in an external app and mux it with the video file later, or if it was already compressed (and was decoded to Wave for editing), just mux the original in as-is. A gap for a silent intro bumper is treated a bit differently (either by way of setting a delay value in the end container or by generating and including silence in the actual audio stream).

I tried my best with the amount of time that I had to make this. It turned out rather well I thought. If people wanna bash it, that's all well and good, but at least offer some criticism. It's always good to do so. And yes, I know you weren't bashing it Michael188PL, I'm just talking in general.

What was up with the bath scene? Didn't quite fit well, but I can't complain
Though, I like your sync for the most part
Anyways, it was pretty cool for a first IC attempt.
Lol, freaky opinion coincidence there...Vax wrote:I didn't really like it.
It felt as if you were going for lenght rather than quality. I didn't like the TV simulator at the beggining and the bathtub scene at the end. The sync was nice though but tthe video just seemed to be off to me, but not bad for a first Iron Chef.
3.1/5

I got the KARAS one against Neverend. It felt oversynced in the beginning and I didn't find your pace very well personally. Better luck next time tho, you aren't the only who lost against neverend
