It has been brought to my attention recently that many of my videos lack a certain clarity that might make them more appealing to the average viewer (they're confusing, in other words). So to aid in your further understanding of possibly hallucinated 8-bit monkeys and they're place in our world, I have enlisted the help of a fellow editor to shine a light upon the various underlying themes and intricacies of the above work. Yes, none other than Kisanzi (or, as many of you know him, Drinky McNancyPants).
NOTE: This essay is meant to be partaken of after you have ingested all or part of the video linked above.
Regrettably, as he did not double space the essay as I had requested, he failed the course. Well, there's always next semester.Kisanzi wrote:Kisanzi

AMV 121-101
Retro Esotericism
(An analysis of some AMV thing. To be read post-viewing for full comprehension)
In an analytical sense, all elements of a retro environment can be interpreted as outdated. These elements lurk in the deepest consciousnesses of social media and can be found within the deepest subconscious of those exposed to only small flashes of these stimuli. In this example a given subject is suffering from the effects of discrete exposure to a aesthetically inferior primate whom possesses an infinite plethora of barrels and an extreme dislike of any and all who trespass upon the unfinished structure that he has adopted as his residence. In her specific case, episodes of delirium and extended cases of apathy can be observed. This is an unexpected reaction in the subjects case since she had been known to be normally withdrawn, inexpressive and all around cold. As this analysis will prove, the case of the subject, although esoteric and difficult to comprehend, is in fact amusing and a remedy for the monotony of AMVs in this current day and age.
As most will first notice, the auditory stimulation accompanying this video is very basic. This type of harmonization, when paired with lyrics easy enough to replicate, are known to be "catchy". When watched in conjunction with the auditory motion picture, this harmonization creates an atmosphere of confusion at first glance. As more attention is supplied to the video, a sense of caricature is inspired, but the ever lingering sense of detachment is still apparent due to the fact that what is being seen is only a percentage of the true concept. So while the images and audio presented will cause reactions of humor and enthrallment, the full understanding is where the true bliss resides.
The demographic for this video is varied in it's intentions. Those of which can relate with the source animation will find themselves in a state of confoundment. this is due to the strange relation being implicated between the main character and the 8-bit anomolies that keep making a presence onscreen. Whereas another demographic, those who identify the retro characters will be in that same state as they ponder why their identifyable electronic gaming figures of years past are parading around and terrorizing a character in a modern day japanese animated television program. By this point in reading this, the video should be downloaded and you should probably be watching that since this is just an over dictioned essay written for the promotion of the video and is for amusement purposes only. But the demographic that will be thuroughly satisfied will be those who enjoy pretty colors, movement, and music. This will be due to the fact that no preparedness is necessary for these people to enjoy this video, or any activity for that matter.
In conclusion, this video as an anime music video is an amusing trial of facetiousness and at most times will provide enough sensory stimulation to inspire cases of hysteria, bewilderment, but most importantly, amusement. There are many who will feel some or all of the mental states and phases discussed in this essay, but to all, hopefully the enjoyment is a universal side effect felt post-viewing.
In any case, enjoy the video.
EDIT: It has just come to my attention that today is also Kisanzi's birthday. Please celebrate as per your manual's instructions.
