Well, one learns new things by example. It's easier that way too.
Take a look at my vids and feel free to ask any questions. My AMVs are rather simplistic but I hope you can learn something from them. I can post other videos by different creators as good examples of editing, effects and such. Just let me know if you'd like me to do so.

More upbeat and effectsy, still pretty simple
QCs are completely fine, OPs would be awesome (and if you like these, don't worry to check out my others).
