Honey and Clover

Post by paizuri » Tue Oct 24, 2006 4:46 pm

This is the official Honey and Clover discussion thread. This thread covers both seasons as the second season is a continuation of the first.

Official site (japanese)

On a side note, considering what a great series this is, I am shocked that there wasn't a thread for it already as well.

On the side note, I'm not sure that Viz has licence this series in Europe or could be a typo or something but...take a look at the breif description on the main page:
http://www.vizeurope.com/television.php

See what I mean?... :?
A.k.a- "The Anime>Observer" 8-)
The Lone Anime Ranger...off duty

*sigh*..."It's not easy being an Anime Fan."

I liked the series a lot. The interactions between each character are just superb and you see a growth and change in many of the characters over the two series.

Though I must admit, shrimp fingers surprised me at first.

I was very suprised by this series; I was looking through the adb and found some good ratings for this series. At first I was all: "bah, this doesn't look that great, the artwork looks old with all these light colours". and I wasn't too pleasesd with the intro screen (i found the song annoying and it wasn't helping when you're a starving student looking at plates and plates of revolving food).

But then I started watching... and there wasn't one episode when i did not laugh out load. It's probably the funniest/serious/lubiest thing ever. The characters are all original, and they're all very different from each other.

It's probably one of my favorite series in my collection.

I was hooked when I first watched it on Animax when the channel started up in my country a few months back. Definately ranks as one of my favorite series and I can't wait to watch the second season if it airs here.

This show is heart touching and offers a good laugh.
Even though there's not much progress, still enjoyable. 4/5

Nice anime, real character development and interesting characters as a whole.
The pace is slow but if you get used to it,you'll adore this anime.
Personally,I never liked the main female protagonist... :D
