Just to give a bit of background about myself, I haven't seen dragonball Z or Princess Mononoke ^^;;;;;; (and wow, real contrast between those anime) But I wanted to see a dbz vid, just for kicks.
Breakdown of dbz vid -
-have no idea of the lyric sync because I haven't watched it
-up until about 20 secs, liked the effects, then noticed them because they seemed repetitive. (actually, in particular, the one which increases the blur - the others seemed to blend)
-29sec - good lipsync - yay!
2 min - the lightning didn't fit - maybe key out the black so the lightning isn't so solid. (i.e. use a filter so the black in the lightning becomes transparent)
2.03 - didn't like the lip flap
2.20 - lipsync was a bit off at the end
2.20 - liked the effects now that the blur was gone - thought it fitted and accentuated the action.
3.27 - something funny about the cutout - I think it was because the noise effect expanded the lines on the edge to make pixels jump out. (maybe convert the cutout to black and white and use it as a mask? (mimicking the zoom))
ending- from an outsider's perspective, seemed a bit weird to end with the black haired guy when the whole thing seemed to focus on the blondes.
-overall I think it's one of the better-made and better-planned dbz vids, from what I've heard. XD
---Who's the mother of son of Goku? XD
Mononoke thingy -
-intriguing and beautiful music - nice!
- 0.20 didn't really like the flashy effect
- to be honest, I think the effects you used were too solid/striking for the soft music. I can imagine them being used in a Linkin Park with Naruto vid (heavy beatsync with heavy beat), but it didn't seem to match the music for me.
- (is she sucking the poison out of a wolf?

)
2.01 - OK, by this point, the softer blurry effects match IMO.
2.06 - lip flap at the end. Can take a screenshot of the mouth closed/half open/fully open (with transparency around) and superimpose over the mouth, instead of slowing the thing down (noticed it was slowed, even thought the lip sync fitted for the first part)
- didn't think the shattering effect worked, or any grayscale-change effects (at any point, but the way you continuously changed back and forth close to the end worked)
-seems like a sweet love story! I'm sure fans will like it even more.
