that's why originality is a difficult concept to master

i'm sure there are thousands of Naruto / DBZ AMVs with some type of Linkin Park song...but you gotta think fresh yo!

Back during the first couple years of my editing this happened A LOT!

I think three or four times within one year and then a few more the following. Generally it was really irritating because I liked all my works to be original. Eventually I got over it though since how I edit the video will be entirely different from how someone else does it the two videos are still different even if they use the same anime and music. Now I don't even bother to look up if the idea has been done before until after I finish the video since the presence of them technically shouldn't matter at all.

I think this has happened maybe once to me.

Although, I did give a certain someone the idea of using music from Run Lola Run because I didn't want to do it.
