  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

That was indeed a nice watch. Can't add much to what good has already been said.

One major point I do want to talk about is the audio aspect. As the title implies this video is supposed to be a live event taking place in either a one huge stadium or several, yet there are no audience cheers, reactions, ambience or anything that would really emphasize a live audio recording situation. It feels somewhat out of place to only hear the song at best quality while doing a live performance infront of a big audience. It's a matter of taste of course which way you want to think about this, and if one is up for the effort.

There were also a few cuts and scenes that didn't really fit in for me. The seldom cute appearences in a mostly rigid enviroment weren't to my liking.

4/5 Stars.

Even though there were a few points where I felt the music mix and lip sync didn't work quite right, overall it's a pretty nice, upbeat rock vid.

4/5 :)

EDIT: It was awesome indeed. I would have liked more KOR, though... :P
He used about all the KOR band scenes there are. There are only like... three? There's the contest TV episode where we meet Yukari, and then there's the OAV episodes where Kyosuke switches minds with a famous male idol.

He even used scenes from the episode where Kyosuke and Hikaru go on a date to see a concert, which is super early on in the series.

Anyways, Def Leppard = good. Sources used = good. The combination = great "old-school feel" video. Well done!

I only wished that Black Heaven was in there somewhere.

Talk about insane effort. Gathering footage must of been hell.

Not quite that bad. :) 17 of the 24 were from R1 DVDs, 5 were from R2s, 1 was from VHS, and 1 was direct from the creator.

Thanks, everyone, for the compliments and for the criticisms. And looking back, I agree with the comments about the lipsync; I probably should have done something different with those segments. Definitely something for me to keep in mind on future videos.

Good times, good times. This got a good response when they played it during the Iron Editor.
