Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I basically echo what everyone else comments. It was a really well edited, well rythmed video that worked really well together with the sources. This just strengthens my resolve to buy Beck. O_O Really well done.

When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be a martial art video :(

I suspect that for most people here, well, you have to be a certain age to totally dig this video. Which I did, this was awesome oldschool goodness, both on the song and (at least to a large part) the anime front. Big  , I hope this does well in the contest!

One criticism - I'm still unsure whether lipsync was supposed to be in the video or not... in the first half of the video, it sort of pops up sometimes, and really seems off in places yet not so much in others. In the later half of the video, there's no attempt to use it at all and I thought that flowed much better. Would've been better if it was consistent or not there at all... in any case, the good use of instrumental footage pretty much just overshadowed it.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

whats the name of the anime with the blue skin ppl?
That's Daft Punk. They got permission from Leiiji Matsumoto to use his art style to reference Yamato, Galaxy Express 999, Captain Harlock, etc...
Actually, it's call Interstella 5555. Basically, Matsumoto directed a set of music videos for Daft Punk's Discovery Album. The whole album was made into a large music video. DP apparently loves Matsumoto's works and collaborated with him in the creation of it. It's awesome. Story is told entirely via the music and action on the screen. Though it would seem Lantis already answered this ^^()
