Well, thoughts on the quality of the videos that made the finals aside... being the enginerd that I am, and currently a somewhat bored one at that, here's some statistics:
Total Videos in Contest: 76
Videos in Finals: 44
Percent that made the finals: 57.9%
# of videos in 1 finals category: 28
# of videos in 2 finals categories: 14
# of videos in 3 finals categories: 2
Unlike previous years though, it's impossible to tell just how many actual editors made the finals, since we don't know if anyone has more than one video that made it into the finals, which would skew the numbers.

Boy, the signal-to-noise ratio was pretty high all around, before and after the nominated entries were announced. What happened, did editors take this year's Pro contest even less seriously than ever?
I noticed also, what worked for Otakon (for some videos) doesn't necessarily work for AWA... my entry is being relegated to the Sunday showing again for the 5th year in a row. (EDIT: And how in the hell did #45 (the Street Fighter video) *not* get nominated?) However, I'm happy that the Prince of Tennis video got nominated! I really liked it a lot!
