I was wondering if an of you know how to do this with Sony Vegas 6.

just scale up the vid so the bits you dont want are not visible

Or, if you don't want to degrade the video quality, use VirtualDubMod to crop off the bottom.

This is a starcraft video, it's probably going to end up on youtube, I doubt he's worried about quality to much.

You could also mask it out, if you want to get every little piece without cutting the too much out. But then you'd have an oddly shaped black spot.

just use the crop feature, but slide the square to the top.
