I was able to download the first ISO overnight, but my FTP program didn't move on and transfer the other 3, so I had to tell it to do so again this morning.

Doesn't really matter that much though since it'll likely be next week sometime before I can actually watch them (since I'm still working on Expo & SAST entries). :?

@Koop:

Maybe the creator just wanted to present his work to an audience and get some more feedback. While this video might be legal for the Pro entries he chossed this way instead of the Expo contest. Well I searched right now through the rules again and didn´t found anything about the release date. I think it´s no problem. It´s not older than one year.
If you don´t like it or think that it shouldn´t be in the Pro contest than just don´t vote for it and I´m sure that organisators can disqualify it too if they want to. I´m sure that it won´t be a big deal for the creator anyway.

..but I have to agree that a rule would be nice that says that videos older than one year are something are not allowed.

meh

It feels like most people did what I did. Made some small(crappy) job video just to be in the contest to get the isos.

Bauzi,

We know u made it. |:

I didn't see anything in the rules either about things being older than 1 yr being disqualified, at least from the AWA Pro deadline... BUT, it is older than when AWA is actually is held, which is mid-september. Not that it really matters to me, I was just curious cause then people could theoretically send in really old videos..

lol Yeah I can imagine that xD

Now imagine there would be a Masters contest too... I didn´t saw the vids for now, but from the stuff that I hear it seams to be a good idea to mix AWA Pro and Masters this year.

@Koop:
Hey at least I sent in my main project wich I worked over a long time too where a lot of hard blood lies in it.

However that´s how AWA is: Open for every video, but I´m interessted what you all think:
Would you prefer a contest with a lot of high quality videos wich were released over one year ago? Or a contest with a lot of new video and well... medicore ones, but fresh ones. For this type of judging and contest of course.

I honestly don´t know the answer.

Speak for yourself. I poured my heart and soul into my video(s).

New videos.

EDIT: Good God, I didn't actually think my graph would be correct. After watching the first disc though, and finding only one video I really liked out of the thirteen, my hopes are lower than ever.

An entire disc could've been made out of the Makoto Shinkai videos.

I agree with most sentiments that disc 2 was the best, though each disc had one or two good ones.

I'd heard that this was likely going to be the case (and it's unsurprising given how many were at Otakon alone).

Also... how the hell did you guys have time to watch through everything already??? :shock: Didn't you guys just get home this morning?
