Oh, you fixed that.
Interesting, if obvious combination. I shall have to critique when I get back on proper internet...
ya i did that last minute, i usually make bad editing choices b4 i render.PhysicianStrudel wrote:Hmmm. Like at the beginning, you didn't need to have spike's red mask blink with the beat.

Idk it had ok parts but it really didn't have very good flow, and that kinda ruined it.

This video was bad on a lot of levels. The editing was very tasteless for one. Part of having a good knowledge of editing is knowing what works and what doesn't as well as when to use something and when to leave well enough alone. Based on those criteria I would disagree with Guy07 and say that you do NOT have a good knowledge of editing.
For one thing, the repetitive nature of this whole AMV was absolutely ridiculous. Lyrical sync was practically hilarious because every time I heard "blood stains in the apartment" or something like that, you flashed back to the apartment scene. Which would have been fine if you didn't do it about 4 times through-out the entire video. We get it, you tried to do lyrical sync. It sucked, move on. Don't beat a dead horse.
Your blurs were completely retarded and your blood was totally off color. In case you haven't noticed, blood isn't exactly bright fire engine fucking red. So while its "cool" that you edited it onto the floor, a bit more realism in this kind of editing would have been a nice relief. And maybe a splatter or two, not just a circular puddle, because its blood, not pancake mix.
It feels like you tried to do a "Whisper of the Beast" style editing job on this and I'm pleased to report that you failed completely. The masking or cut outs, whatever you choose to call them, were poorly placed and they completely lacked overall purpose. Your video quality is good but I sincerely hope this is an actual bluray release and not an upscale, which is very much a no-no.
That aside this could have been a really cool concept if you had taken tone a bit more seriously as well as the actual editing job. I must admit I was excited looking at the posters for this, but I thought the white outlines around your characters were for Poster purposes, not in the actual video, where it just looks ridiculous. The truly great editing is editing you can't notice or see. Fantastic to know that you highlighted it for us.
