That was a very fun video. :P The editing was generally solid, with very decent syncing.

Couple things:

1) There's a good amount of lipflaps... I would try to either cut down on those shots or attempt some lip-sync; otherwise the effect can be quite distracting. Eyes are naturally attracted to movements and if the moving lips don't match the musical beat or the lyric then the video becomes ineffective.

2) Not sure what editing software you use but I notice pixelation on the scaled-down PiP clips... not a big issue overall, but it does bite into quality. The video quality was overall pretty decent, even though it's a WMV and could be better as an MP4.

3) The PiP effect is a bit overused, especially toward the beginning. I personally would like to see some different kind of effects since this is very much an effect-oriented video.

4) The shots got a bit repetitive toward the end... seeing bleeding nose and cleavage was fun for a minute... may be 2. After that... I wanted to see something new. Gotta say though, the ending is awesome. ;)

3.5/5!

Thanks for the feedback, though just some comments on what you said.

1.) I can understand that, though for me personally, I've seen a bunch of amvs with lipflaps, and really it doesn't bother me. I even asked some friends when watching some videos if the lip flap bothers them, and not really (but hey, thats them). Maybe because not too many ppl have been telling me about that is the reason why I don't minimize lipflap (I only recall ppl making note of that when I put my amv on AMV Org), so I'll work on that next time. Though a problem I ran into is on some parts where I wanted to do lipsync, there are specific scenes I want to use, but the camera gets in the way. What I mean is I normally would take small clips of mouth movements to do the lipsyncing, but I can't if the camera is panning in a certain directions while the mouth is moving, you know what I mean?

2.) I think I know what scene you are talking about. Though I only recall one PiP moment where there was a lil pixilation, and that is near the beginning when the main guy spits out his drink before the "Good Gracious ass bodacious" part. I know thats there, but I couldn't get that small thing to go away. It only went away when I took away the PiP effect, which I wanted to keep. Its a small thing so I decided to leave it in, and seeing that you are the first to tell me about it, I don't think it was too big, just a small sacrifice I had to make. Btw I used Sony Vegas 8.0, but this was my first AMV using it, so yeah. And I guess I was too much in a rush to distribute this, since I made it into WMV format so it would be faster to load on you tube, and yea I should have made a mp4 format for actual distribution, but oh well.

3.) Yeah, I have to also agree I used alot of PiP effects, but keep in mind this was my first amv using Sony Vegas. I used to do amvs with Windows Movie Maker, so it was a really big step for me to take and I'm still trying to get a grip on using a bigger editor like Vegas. PiP and Camera Movement effects were the first effects I could really get a good grasp on, which is why I used it so many times. I'm trying to get used to using Vegas, though in future amvs, I probably wont use so much PiP effects.

4.) Thats totally understandable, though this was to be a fanservice comedy amv, so thats what I delivered. I know a bunch of people who said the same thing that the fanservice stuff was either not for them at all, they like it but it was too much, or they completely loved the vid because of the fanservice flood. But I wanted to keep a level of consistancy, where everytime you hear Nelly go "OHHHHH!" after the women go "I wanna take my clothes off", there would be a nosebleed, and it seemed to amplify the impact of the "OHHHH!". Plus I had a bunch of other comedic scenes to mix it up a bit, like being blasted to the sky, going 100 mph, being sucked in by whirlpools, etc, so I did try to make this more than just cleavage and butts, lol. But LOL comon, what else am I gonna put for the refrain when the girls go "I am getting so hot. I wanna take my clothes off!", that seems more to be the fault of the song if I want to sync to lyrics. But to be honest, the buildup to the ending is something I was Meh on too, because I was running out of ideas on what to put, so thats my fault hehe. And YES I really liked the ending too, nothing better than to end an AMV with a punch to the nads! =D

Well I can always rely on AMV org members to give me critical feedback, because I swear, its very hard to please you guys sometimes, lol! Oh well, at least I get some good advice in the process. =D

Hey Shadow! ^_^

You are welcome! :)

1) I think it probably doesn't bother most people that much - I worked at a video on demand network for a year though and one of my former supervisors is a film industry veteran so I was very much trained to avoid lipflaps at all costs unless there's absolutely no other shots available. Videos can be good even with lipflaps - but without them, they can be better! :D

2) Hmm from my experience with Vegas, pixelation seems to occur when it tries to deinterlace certain footages... if the source is progressive, make sure you check the media properties and switch to Progressive mode. Sometimes the program doesn't detect the source correctly.

3) I think you did some very good effects with Vegas and the timing of the transitions and keyframing are all very solid! :) I simply wished there was more variety - may be some masking or invert/color effects - but all in good time I suppose! (Windows Movie Maker ewwwww) xD

4) Yeah that's understandable. :) Perhaps the song can be edited a bit shorter if the shots aren't meant to vary - because past the two minute mark it was getting a bit old. But overall, I liked it; good humor!

Yo Omikami_Amaterasu,

Thanks for the advice and stuff, was really interesting to hear. And yea I can understand the fanservice thing getting old, oh well. But I really don't like editing a song to be shorter than it should be, so yup. And yeah, those ideas for effects sound interesting, I'll have to look into those.
