Urgent Request: Video Entry External Link

Whichever admin who sees this post first:

I am unable to add an external link for my video:

the Org keeps returning the following error:
ERROR: Link is not valid: Server - Not Found

Common Problems:
* Protocal required: http://, https://, ftp://
* No closing / at the end of a directory:
http://www.site.com/video/directory should be http://www.site.com/video/directory/
* You just typed the name in wrong.

The external link is located at:
http://files.filefront.com/Masikamp4/;11120980;/

Can an admin add the link for me? I've tried and tried.

That's an indirect link, not a direct one.

uh... I know that dude. I have been trying to add the link as an INDIRECT link and the Org won't let me, ya know?

BTW, for your information that "Direct Link" you included is a dynamic URL generated and assigned by FileFront on the fly, it changes everytime so it won't work.

the difference between a direct and an indirect link is

Direct links to the file itself and the url would end with the file name...

indirect links to a page where you can download the video.

Ah, well since the place offers streaming video there's a chance it might be on our no-link list then.

Ah, well since the place offers streaming video there's a chance it might be on our no-link list then.

It isn't, but I have a feeling that filefront might possibly be blocking the check the org makes to see if the link is valid.

Tangential thought - We allow indirect links to streaming sites other than youtube? Isn't that a bit... inconsistent? since all the same reasons against it still would apply to any streaming sites.
