And scene-selection-, mood-wise I liked the verses. It was pretty hard to get used to a different kind of a combination for 5cm and Beyond the Clouds but it sorted out nicely on the verses part. However, the scenes you chose for the choruses felt simply off O.o Perhaps it's just personal preference but I thought you could have used scenes that'd be more depressing and angsty than the verses instead of filling it up with epic and dramatic scenes. Didn't really for work the song, imo.

I have the opposite opinion. I used to love the song, but I've heard it so much I'm desensitized to it. Syncing it to epic, wheeling scenes full of desperate hope instead of what I was expecting (narrow-sighted depressing/angsty stuff) actually seemed very poignant and refreshing...it gave me these impressions about how one man's mundanity is another man's momentousness, etc. Made a tired song new.

Also really liked the editing style--the contrast between slow, languorous fades and rapid-fire cuts was highly effective. Great sense of dynamics. Love how simple and intuitive the sense of narrative is as well, despite being minced and mixed up chronologically. Really well-executed all around. This is how an AMV that focuses more on editing than FX should be done, IMO.

I also wanted to keep my dirty hands away from your video, there is nothing i would have told you to make better anyway (cept some minor stuff, but that would be nitpicking anyway). And it's better like that without my name at the end, btw the credits were the only thing i didnt like about it, they were so ugh idk, maybe the songs fault, didnt fit there for me.

edit: First of all I'd like to say this: Holy shit, did I actually see some new scenes? I thought I had seen the whole movie by now, but you snuck a couple in there that hadn't been used. I'd also like to say that thank fucking god that tehre is finally another One of these videos that isn't like every other fucking one. There are only like... 2 or 3 (counting this one) That I remember that different then "This one dude liked this one chick a while back, now they are older, and they still wanna fuck each other, but oh no.. THERE'S A TRAIN :O!"

It's different, and I like that. It was also edited well. I'm gonna hold on to this, might not ever rewatch it, but at least I gots it.
