Hey BattousaiMike,
First off, I will say that the video is decent and better than many out there. My favorite parts are 1:58 to 2:12 and 2:42 to 3:00 (before Sephiroth fire scene). And the reason why I like these scenes is that they are simple, well timed and really fits with the pace of the song. I feel like you have a good general sense of timing and that is the real strength of your video. There is some refining to do no doubt on the timing, like 3:23 to 3:34, the drum beats do not match with the black slides, or maybe you were timing to something else?
Anyways, the bad points I find with your video are really three-fold:
1. The use of effects that are not visually appealing: for example, just at the beginning, when you introduce the protagonists, the pictures in the middle are stretched (those of Cloud and Aeris). Or at 1:18 you have a picture in the middle of the screen which I feel is very distracting.
2. Lack of originality at certain points:
-Like at 1:00, when cloud is flying to meet Sephiroth, you cut to a picture of Weapon, and then you flash the sorceress 4 times: what is the relation? This confused me. She is also not well timed on the 4th beat.
-Another example @ 1:37, when you cut to the scene of Alexander for a good 10 seconds...this felt like a filler to me, but that's just my opinion.
3. More little things, like the credits at the opening, I know you mentioned that in your post, and my guess would be to edit frame by frame which would take time...but you should just use something else if you can't work it; there are lots of panoramic shots like that in those three games I'm pretty sure.

Anyways, overall, it's a decent vid, as I said. I would probably give this an overall of 6.5-7/10. I did get the point of your video, which is good...displaying the bad guys, but it is a very simple theme. It may be better to choose one final fantasy and build on this same theme, so that the video flows better. I think you have good timing skills, as I did see some parts of the video well timed, yet you weren't consistent, since some other parts were a bit lazy. As far as the effects goes, I would just cut them, or if you really wanna try effects, make them minimal and non-distracting. A good effect can work wonders in a video just a like a bad one can destroy it. It's a double-edged sword. They weren't so bad in your video because you didn't put too many. Also, when you look at your video and you feel that a certain portion is just filler, you should just go in there, delete and re-do that portion. This is something only the creator can do as I really don't know if there are any filler scenes in your vid (although I'm willing to guess there are).
Finally, just remember these are only my words and my opinion. You did a great job for one of your first vids and I would like to see more from you soon!
Have fun editing!
