- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Karas: Devils Never Cry
This is my first AMV. The idea for this video was to go through the entire story of Karas from start to finish in order. The beginning explains the plot and the rest goes through the whole story. I know you're not supposed to use downloaded footage but I started this video before I read the rules and guides here so bare with me, the quality isn't that bad. tell me what you think.

Ooh. A firstie! :O
At first I was expecting a DMC video.
/gets
EDIT:
It was a neat concept. However, you fell flat in many aspects. The video quality was quite poor and hard to look at. Editing was interesting, but it fell short in any type of unqiue editing other than "fast song + high speed action". Still, it was a pretty average video in all other terms.

Thanks for the feedback and I apologize for the poor quality. I don't have any of the dvd's so downloading was my only option. I thought I was being unique by not just using a faced paced song with random action clips but I suppose my video does stand out somewhat in that fast song, high speed action category. This was my first AMV so hopefully I'll get better.

I thought that's what you saidAverex8 wrote: I don't have any of the dvd's so going out and buying the DVDs or renting them from a video store was a better option than dloading.

Karas actually edits itself much like appleseed, wait a sec. do you mean that you thought putting random fights to fast-ish song was being original?I thought I was being unique by not just using a faced paced song with random action clips but I suppose my video does stand out somewhat in that fast song, high speed action category. You need to work on transitions between clips and working with the music some more, not all that bad for a first video, and yeah the more you edit you should get better (unless you're ramonesfan

In order to help with your visual quality (if you dloaded HQ raws which it doesn't look like) there's some segments in --> Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides you should look at *cue someone linking to the new version*
You can also link to beta versions of your new videos and get some feedback before you finish them in the opinion exchange forum.

new banzors in the making :p

This would be the new version Autraya is talking about.Autraya wrote:[...]

PS: I woke up early this morning but I'm going back to bed... I'll be getting this when I'll be fully awake. XD
edit: well, I... didn't really like it very much.
It felt like it was too slow most of the time, and quality didn't help.
I think I liked the part between 03:07 and 03:30, but for the rest I wasn't really able to enjoy it that much. Considering that it's your first, though, it's not that bad.

Wow. This reminded me intensely of my 5th AMV. Like, majorly.

But yeah, as far as amvs go it wasn't anything special. However, considering it was your first it wasn't at all bad. At the very least you're off to a good start.
