Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

O_O I LOVE THIS!

Beautiful, beautiful job. I loved how you integrated the mv with the anime footage, too.

Unfortunately I didn't like it. The real music video footage irked me (it seemed a little stretched vertically as well?). Also, the rain filter really bothered me because it just kinda stood out a little too obvious, when really an effect like attempting to add rain to several clips should be very subdued and subtle, so the viewer stops and goes "waaaait, I don't remember there being rain in this clip.... NO WAY" rather than "why are there lines over this scene? Oh."

Sync was there, and pretty damned solid. It was edited well but it was just missing that feeling for me.

Sorry pal : \

Ugh am I the only one who thought this video was sub par?

It's a average video with poorly use of LA if anything. Granted this is merely my opinion, but I didn't feel at all "moved" as a video should have. Another major issue that I have with this video is the rubbish FX. I can see clearly what your going for but the rain for instance looks hideous. Though I'll not press on FX anymore as I can already feel the rabies noobs sneaking up one me claiming to flame.

Ones more this is strictly my opinion. If you feel the need to ask for a more in depth or detailed walk through then simply ask.

5.8/10

No sir, I don't like it.

Here are some reasons why, (thanks oto)

1. Rain filter. to quote from the greatest poet of our time "Man that shit was ugly" - Soulja Boy

2. Your transitions were very nice most of the time, but there was very little connection between what you were transitioning too. Yes I realize that the lyric "these small hours" is so vague and meaningless it ANYTHING that is memorable for the characters can be used for lyric synch, but I'd like to see something that has a bigger connection other than Hey it's a really pretty scene with chicks staring at shit.

3. I have seen all these pretty scenes used before, now grated they are usually put into random pointless order either, but at least those videos have the excuse of being dance videos where the music and flashiness are what carries the video (typically). In short i found the softness and repeated unconnected nature of everything here pretty boring. nothing new or novel(NOVEL COMES FROM THE ROOT WORD NOVA WHICH MEANS NEW SO THIS WAS REDUNDANT) or interesting.

4. the live action video was well integrated but looked stretched.

5. The ending was sad, but i really don't think this was a sad song at all it is an uplifting song about hope.

I spose I'll give it a 3/5 because while it wasn't bad really it was not interesting ...

The main complaints here: Huh I've seen almost all the moments before ... The idea looks the same as Just For A Day, Jihaku, Strawberri, Magic Pad and some others. Anyway it's a very good video.

The ending was pretty well done, but there were just one or two little nitpick spots where the flow wasn't nearly as smooth as it coulda been. Other then that I completely agree with Oto and FC

P.S. I'm fucking amazed that kev didn't bitch about the shitty audio quality

Just to complain about overused scenes it a little bit harsh.
I don't think it has to do anything with the editing or amv itself.

Well I liked it.
It's a very simple formula, and would have been better with less overused scenes.
but still, it was nice.
