If an AMV has so much going on that it starts to trip over itself, I pretty much step away. Also, unwarranted effects, those that stick out like a sore thumb unnecessarily.

When a scene is plopped into a video with the hope that accidental sync will save it. This especially pisses me off when they use trailer footage to increase their chances.

Inconsistency.

Like a video that is mostly straight cuts and fades, then when the song gets crazy, the editor puts in crazy flashy effects that ruins the consistency of the video.
