Naruto, anyone? XDD (two Itachi vids)

Post by dazza1008 » Sat Apr 19, 2008 4:25 am

This is my first AMV where I experimented with the time delay using Premiere CS3 effects i.e. keyframes. The AMV itself is my darkest yet - Itachi cutting all ties with the family. I usually do comedy ones. :o

This is done simply for fun. X3 Hopefully lulz, 'cause it's a funny song already.

If you're willing to leave feedback, I'd really appreciate it. Especially the technical side of it - like things that are noticed when watching the AMVs.

I'll check out the first one because, new people need to be given a chance. as for the second one, you can fuck yourself. The song was always stupid and even the retards who thought it was funny stopped thinking so a year ago.

anyway, /gets first vid.

TO many stupid as effects, TO slow at times and then to fast at others. a couple good parts, but for the most part.. just don't use those obnoxious fly in transitions and TO MUCH screen shaking.

Well, I was entertained by it, and I'm glad you can tell which video isn't your thing just by looking at the description. My videos obviously aren't for EVERYONE.,

In the second one? Thanks - I liked Itachi saying all those stupid things; that was part of the fun. :D

re: too many stupid ass effects... it was suggested that I use more beatsync. For that bit where Itachi turns around and there's a wave displacement used on the beat, yes, that was simply for beatsync, and I agree it looked kind of raw, or unpolished, but a lot of the effects were experimenting with what effects are available in Premiere. And the only other one I thought was raw was the transition between Itachi looking at the note and then staring at Sasuke... which, coincidentally, used exactly the same effect, but horizontal this time. (then he kicks Sasuke)

Re: too slow at times... the only bit I was concerned about being too slow was after Sasuke bashes into the wall... there wasn't much action going on, but I wanted the word "feel" to sync with Sasuke spitting out blood. And after that, it was fast but I changed each hit to be synched with the beat, but I'm not sure it's that obvious because I used transitions. Anyway, I was running out of song, but I made those compromises willingly because I wanted certain effects in certain places. And with the other parts that seem slow, I wanted the meaning behind the scene to be evident - maybe that's only obvious to those who have memorised the scenes and know the story behind it.

Re: too much screen shaking... hmm... the only real time it was purely shaking, as opposed to zooming in in time with the beat, was that picture of the Uchiha guys standing at the door, but I thought it would make it more interesting than a simple picture.

Raw implies editing with no effects at all.. just FYI

When I say slow I mean, the song was at its faster part and you just show sasuke running or whatever, I don't remember. I realise you were mainly experimenting, but still :O.

Thanks for clarifying - there were two parts where Sasuke was just running, but I think you're referring to the very beginning (but either way I've got the same answer). To be honest, I wanted those extra-intense parts of the song to reflect the internal maelstrom Sasuke must have been feeling at that point, and to get that idea across there has to be a lack of change in the action happening at that point, else people would sync it to what's happening externally. And btw I'm not experimenting with the clips I choose - I'm experimenting with the effects in Premiere to enhance those clips.

I know what you're experimenting with, I'm just telling you that for a lot of the time it didn't really work

Well, I don't think you 'got' the video as much as a fan would, but point taken, I'll research Premiere effects. ^^

"got" the video?.. It was a fucking NARUTO vid about the fucking Uchihas. There are enough of them out there...TO this exact song might I add, where there isn't a whole lot for me to have to "get"..I've pretty much gotten all the "pain" and "anguish" and "heartbreak" and "anger" and "desire for revenge" and "family rivalry" and all the other shit that comes along with naruto pretty much figured out. So trust me, I knew what you were trying to do :\
