Originally, I was going to use FLCL as a main source, but it didn't work out, so I switched to E7.

Note: I wished so much that I could've done this into AE but since my laptop doesn't really cooperate with it and dies every 10 mins. So in the end I had to do it manually what I wanted to in AE in Premiere instead and I have to say that it was probably one of the largest timeline I've seen in my works.

There are some things I'm already aware of... such as the motion with CG maskings at the beginning (it's fixed by now) and the ''name'' text going too fast.

I don't know though if the recollection thingy I made at the middle was a good idea but I wanted to have it own style till the end. As for the end part later, I already began masking for the beat syncs and I'l probably have some kinda of dreamy motion phase at the background.

This what I PMed to Ben. I think I know who will understand this and who won't. But I think the very fact this didn't seem like a big deal to me shows I don't belong here much anymore.

*sigh* Alright. I drop everything into the risky point to make it public and discuss it like adults. Just because if others just read one part they don´t understand everything and get wrong views of the situation. Also to "talk behind somones back" (the pm system is just meant for two persons.) and retell the stuff to the 3rd person gets old.

Yeah here starts a probem. It´s something about trust. Ben and me really had stressfull weeks and we push and push the deadlines back more and more. You know? This is something about trust between friends. It´s like: We count on you to finish stuff in time if we would like/want to see so such things. Yeah ok you can discuss about how though we should see it, but: we all pushed this stuff too far away and now we had real deadline(s) to fullfill.

You came up with a redundant anime (let´s just let this stand into the room) and a not really half done track with even wrong beginning and ending times. I mean: What´s up with it? These things doesn´t give a good image to you.

But I honestly did not realize this was such a big deal.

I´m not out for risking friendship because of such silly things. I really don´t. You realize it now and that´s it. End of story. Let´s get back to business.

I don't want him using Eureka Seven as his main source, period, because it looks bad. He can use melee's footage for his concept or whatever, but I don't want him to have E7 be the main thing we see in his track.

Than... let´s just work around it. Let´s move the core from E7 to two animes as base or more.

Just from a different angle:
The concept of Greg was to make a mix of all tacks. So it´s kinda logic that he might use a redundant anime as base.

The core of the dramatic lies somewhere else.

The big thing that pisses me off about this whle situation is that he waited until now to show us what he's using. I mean, this is his FIRST beta. Seriously. I'm just getting fed up with his excuses as to why he hasn't released anything, and now that he's gone and used the exact same source as a different editor, I see that I'm justified in getting upset about his slacking.

It stands in the first post of the thread where your track beginning and ending stands too (what you seam to got wrong).

Please let me know what anime you're using as soon as possible. I obviously don't want any repeats in terms of who's using what anime, so the sooner you tell me what anime you want to use, the better.

It´s even bolded! The fact that you didn´t told us about your anime choice, that you come really late with your beta and that you misstook the tracktimes is annoying.

They´re some kind of rules that you should care about. I could have leaved my part in 16:9 (because I´m not that much bothered of it), but I didn´t.

There wouldn´t be that much of a problem if you just discussed it with Ben. Like:
"Hey I need a different source as mainbase for my track. I know that melee already uses it, but I thought about E7"
"Well it stands in the rules that..."
"No. Wait I have a special concept in my mind [...]"
"Ah. yeah I see, but if you [...]"
"Well ok, instead I could [...]"
"Sounds good, but what about [...]"

Talking about time issues. I don´t see a point in kicking you now. Just for the realistic fact that no new editor garanutees that he makes better work or is faster.

Well after a while, after looking at all the pseudo people out there I really wanted more rl. Not that I don´t have one, but I got some kind of sick.
Grounded? Maybe now, but I do have my lows or false heights.

But really, it doesn't seem like there's much of a place for me around here anymore.

Yeah and that´s the part that really hurt me because I really don´t want to miss you dude. There is always a place where you sat yourself. It´s just about acceptance about all the annoying things around you and how you deal with them. I don´t like the I-sync-every-crap thingy or the reactions of other people on some videos (youtubers for exampel), but I have to accept them. Light walls of imaginations to distant yourself (doesn´t mean that you go away completly).

Good next step: The workaround.

Whatever. I'm tired, and stressed, and backed up in school, and I still have to make a video for ACen, and I have to worry about this and Improv...call it overreacting or whatever you want, but I don't care anymore. Just take Bauzi's workaround idea. It's not worth the drama.

Bauzi, you make good points. When I say I don't belong here anymore because I couldn't see this would be a problem, it's as much a hit on me as anyone else. If these are the things that bother the people on the org in AMVs (and in this case specifically, MEPs), there's nothing I can do about that. It's a divide, and nobody is wrong or right.

I will say this: I never would've edited a track straight up to E7, knowing that melee was using it. But our tracks are so different, and Renton (The only E7 character in the track) has such a minor role that I really didn't think it was a problem. And I still don't. To anyone slightly less acknowledgeable in anime, it'll be impossible to recognize the background source: This will simply be a track with all animes. And even for the org community, I can guarantee you nobody who doesn't read this thread will complain about this. This is why I think you guys are over-reacting, and why there is no reason to change the background of the track. From my own personal point of view, this was my artistic vision, and though I understand if you guys have a problem with it, I cannot change something as large as this, at least for the reasons you present.

I mean this in the nicest way. But what do you think, Melee?

@Niwa: Hawt stuff. Probably one of my favorite segments in the project. Pretty. :O I'm not a fan of the still shots in the beginning thou.

@Greg: I didn't like the overall concept of it. The cutouts of the same characters repeated bugged me slighly. It's already been mentioned, but I think it would be weird to see melle's track, and then see this one. The two are totally different in every regard. Plus that one segment (the girl's face zoomed in) had really weird quality.

@Chii: Again, hawt stuff. I love the transition from guy's section as well as transition to my segment. *huggles* Plus, the sheer innocence of the segment just feels right. Like pokemon should feel. Captured the mood of the song/anime perfectly.

@Bauzi: It never hit me that you track was with Getbackers. I totally thought it was just some weird and random anime. Loved the segment. Looks gorgeous and the sync is really nice. I love the whole "digi-tech" feel of it. Kind of makes me feel like my track is inadequate. :_(

@Crack: Nice track. I like the new background a lot better than the rings. Makes it compliment the images, IMHO. I still don't like the color edge around the girls, but it's just a minor gripe.
