Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

shinodewd (4:56:28 PM): only thing I really have to say to her is that I ment fading and that it didnt look good changing scenes on the voice
Radical Yue (4:57:09 PM): The only way it would have looked good syncing to the voice would be if she was to redo the entire video with different clips
shinodewd (4:57:18 PM): mhmm
Radical Yue (4:57:33 PM): And the word changing that she claims to have wasn't even predominant enough to notice
shinodewd (4:57:40 PM): yea exactly
Radical Yue (4:57:52 PM): You watch videos to WATCH them. Not to play "Where's Waldo Synced To?"

so yea... I meant fading

and changing scenes on the voice didnt look good =/

I've got to say I agree 100% with Yue and Shinodude (I noticed allot of other things that annoyed me as well but seeing how the responses went to Yue's mildly put comments I'm sure we'd end up with another ayumix fiasco so I'll reserve my judgement)
AND that Yue should let loose more often despite the number of guys who'd be turned on if she were loose, it's better to get honest feedback than edifying praise when something isn't necessarily worthy of it. That said each to their own (so to some this is puurfect and others it's not).

I will say; that it looks like you put allot of effort into this using multiple anime really chews up time not to mention HDD space.
new banzors in the making :p

I didn't have time, Lynds. U know that. :cry:
Radical_Yue wrote:when you've got insane flashing clips as a transition to another scene, you expect to be able to hear what they're flashing along sync with.
Okay. Now that's just odd. Are you sure the base coming out of your speakers isn't too low. Cause there's no way you couldn't notice the beats they're synched to otherwise.
Radical_Yue wrote:When you make multi anime videos and you prefilter all of your footage differently, this is the time to prepare your footage with the correct aspect ratios.
I am aware of this, but as I explained earlier I didn't have time to go back and correct quite a few things. If I had had the time I would've been able to fix my FX to fit the new aspects.
Radical_Yue wrote:Personally, when working with multi anime, if you've got wide screen footage in there, I'd just make the rest of the video Wide instead of killing the quality of the the wide screen footage.
I agree with you. I just didn't have the time.
Radical_Yue wrote:Sorry, but I just didn't like it.
There is no reason to get defencive about it =P
I'm not really. It's more like rampant confusion. You and the others on this post are the first ones who didn't hear what things were synched to.
Radical_Yue wrote:Also, this is the reason I don't usually post what I honestly feel about videos =\ Seems like every time you don't follow the crowd with "5/5 AWSM!!one1!1!" You have to defend your reasons =\
Well, of course you do, if you see something different than 90% of the viewers. :P People are gonna wanna know why. I just like to have things clarified.
Autraya wrote:It's better to get honest feedback than edifying praise when something isn't necessarily worthy of it.
I quite agree. But if I honestly can't see what the heck someone is talking about then I'm gonna debate it. It's not complaining. It's discussion.

Especially when you only have a 60 gig drive :shock:
Shinodude wrote:I ment fading
Pretty much every clip has at least a 3 frame fade on it, but you have to realize that it's not always possible with a fast paced vid.
Shinodude wrote:I ment fading and that it didnt look good changing scenes on the voice
You're not a melody person are you?
Shinodude wrote:and changing scenes on the voice didnt look good =/
Well, I think you're loopy, but that's okay. Lol. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Please please don't think that just cause I disagree that I'm being uber defensive, kay? :hug:

All you're missing is DBZ and Final Fantasy and you coulda swept the fanboy bullshit factor. Beyond 'NARUTO! AND BLEACH! AND INU YASHA! IN THE SAME VIDEO! I THINK I JUST CAME IN MY PANTS!' factor there was nothing to this video even remotely interesting.

I don't believe either of them think she is a newb, as both Shino and Yue can plainly see her "join date". They just don't really like her video. O.o

I've seen some editors that have been at it for longer than I have and *ahem* still make, what I consider, to be worse videos than mine, some people learn fast and some don't.. I've also seen some people who started after me and are better than me.

For the record: I'm not comparing my videos to Songbird's I'm just saying everyone has a different learning curve (and more importantly different tastes).
~~~~~~~~~~~~
And as for the bad aspect ratios, if you prepared it right in the first place you would have had the time. >.>
The scene choices seemed random to me, I don't think I get the connection between the scenes and the song, but then again "random action" really isn't my taste.
Some of the flashes didn't look that great to me, they would have been better imho if they were a solid color.
Other than that (and now that my seizures are over >.> heh) seemed like a fun type vid.
Wow...and the a$$hole of the thread award goes to.... :?
I agree I have more to learn (I really would like to work on doing some more complex FX, for example). And I actually like getting constructive critisism--And some things in this thread people pointed out were correct (Such as the aspect ratio)--but you'll notice also that some of the comments were less than constructive. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Like what Godix said. It was way outta line. Honestly, what does that kind of crap accomplish?
