Umm, really, why are we moving so fast here? Scott's beta was better than some finals probably will be. I'd be fine with letting him use whatever he's got.

In general, I'm gonna make the deadline, but it bugs me. I understand it was a problem nobody was editing, but well, everybody is now. And now, it just seems like it's going to make people rush out their tracks, for those who don't drop. And yes, being at Acen would be awesome, but being at AWA would be possibly better. Just saying.

The spirit of this MEP was to do this as friends, not have people drop from pressure. It doesn't feel as good like this.

But I get sick of it! All the time we delay and delay stuff. Do you actualy know that Ben and me don´t really want to be part of friendship MEPs like this for a long time now? It´s just that they´re not strict enough and yes I´m well aware that I also dragged on over the whole time too .-.

Be sure that I don´t let complete crap into this MEP. What´s exactly complete crap? Well... Uhm a light form of it would be some of Adam´s outlines in his track.

and guess what! We do knew the deadline for a long time. Long enough to finish parts. The nature of a human is that he always delays until the end of a deadline. It´s natural.

Anyway: We do make progress. We do make betas and finals now. This is a great warning shoot. Do you think that we´ll drop someone who is nearly done? I doubt it, but maybe we´ll really do it, because we have to draw line that noone should pass. Remeber? Det already did.
I want to see progress now.

I really tried to edit my part but it didn't work anyway and my thoughts are dedicated to other things right now then to finish bugging mep tracks.

It´s his desicion and I completly understand him. I´m happy that he told us this today and not at the 1st april. His old enough what he do. I think Scott thought enough about it and maybe he comes back tomorrow? Who knows! Maybe he actually forgot the we liked his beta. *shrugs*
However he seams more to be unhappy with his stuff and that´s fine if he wants to drop because of it.

Pressure? Forget pressure! Just start to edit and everything is fine. The whole stuff just got too lazy for a long time. Time to change it and I´m sure that we would have the same sort of discussion if we would tell you that deadline is in 2 months from now on. Let´s end it now.

Until you prove me otherwise, I am 100% convinced that the only reason everyone is finally getting in gear is because of the set-in-stone deadline.

Well, it won't be going to ACen, because I am not going to have time to put it all together between the first week of April and the 21st. I have tons of work to do and it's only going to get worse for me, my weekends are never free, and I want to edit at least one video in that time for ACen. Like you said though, AWA would be aweosme.

If that happens, it's their own fault. I'm sorry, and I'm not excluding myself from this criticism, but we all (well, most of us) have been a part of this project for just about 10 months now. 10 months is more time than it would take most editors to edit Bleach Technique Beat without knowing the intricacies of After Effects beforehand. We, on the other hand, have tracks that are no longer than 30 seconds and don't even require any sort of high-end effects. If you're rushing to finish a track that's less than 30 seconds long, I don't think you can complain about the 10 months you had to put it together.

However, in light of our two new editors and the fact that I have been buried under a ton of schoolwork lately, and the fact that I do kind of agree with the spirit of your argument, I am willing to push the deadline back one week, making the new deadline April 8th. Bauzi will probably be mad at me for this because I know he likes the deadline, but if enough people object to this I will keep the deadline as April 1st. So please, let me hear what you want. I will not push the deadline back any more after this, however, so don't expect any more grace on my part.

What´s one week compared with the tons of months we already wasted? Nothing. So I´m not mad at all. ^^
I think that all realised that we must make progress and work so an extension could be fine. One or two months would have been something annoying.
However, people, don´t forget that we still betatest stuff. So calculate at least some minor changes in your working - shedul!
It would be perfect if you put out a beta and everybody says "perfect, let´s take it" and the final lossless looks exactly like the beta (editing wise). That would be great.

My track: I´m about to finish the underlay-clips for the drumrolls part.

Mhm looks better than I´ve expected. Nice. I think this should work. Beta comes tomorrow. Some effects my change and I have to get rid of some bugs, but you´ll get it ^^

I´m for the extension if you really make progress in your segments. I mean a good step forward, alright?

I don't care either way (in regards to the deadline) so if it comes down to me, put my vote to the 1st

and we're still finishing before soad2, dragonforce mep, WFAT and a few others (yeah I know each track is longer for most of those...but still)

What d'you say Scott? It'd make everyone like, really happy. Of course, no pressure. If you can't do it, you can't do it, but remember, nobody's expecting you to put out Mini-BTB or anything. If you could be a part of this, it'd be that much better

No offense Chrono, really, but yeah, I think you understand where I'm coming from. It's a friends thing, not a better editor thing.

Wow, This is unexpected ... so much to happen in one week. Well ...good luck to chii and chrono, imo, give those guys another week or so. But the deadine should apply to the rest of us. I know my part will be done on time.
@omega: I haven't uploaded my beta yet, so unless chii gave you a copy you saw a old version, lol. But rest easy my friend, I have the new beta up on my FTP, if you forgot the info, pm me. I want bauzi and crack to BOTH approve it. IF there's anything, no matter how small, lemme know cuz i still have 4 days to fix it up.

AND FYI, I've been editing this whole time ...

oh, then I watched the old one. But it seemed to have the same problem Chii mentioned

(at least for me). Anyway, I will get the new one tomorrow
