I'm first time on this forum, so excuse me if something wrong.
Let me introduce my second AMV, and first AMV, which i have made in After Effects. This work took 6 months, and now i glad, that i finally finished it.
This video is about one girl, who locked in a strange place. She is always lonely. Her memories are all that she has.
There is russian song in this video, but text of this song do not have semantic meaning, so do not worry about the translation.
I hope, this video will be interesting for you.

P.S. Sorry for my bad English ^_^

That was some very intriguing and interesting experimentation with visual effects O:

But - as in many other effect filled videos - they felt rather pointless. You got some of them right (like the way you used masking in most places) but you got some of them wrong too (like the way you used screen shakiness to the fast beats of the song.. it just felt wrong) Anyways, I think if you had made this with a scifi anime or something, it would have felt more appropriate.. Well, I liked the effects, generally speaking O: Just try not to have them so detached...

I don't really know how this videp managed to express its concept. Requires some more views I guess. The effects were too disturbing for me. Sometimes you couldn't really see any connection between the anime and the effects as the all the technical stuff was covering the clips too much. But I liked the little details like masking Lucy out of the frame and scraping the backgrounds, portraying Lucy's detachment with the world and other people.

I think I'll give this video some time to grow on me now. The effects require some getting used to before I could say anything proper about it. It's not very easily accessible O: One thing I could rant about though: the fast beats on the song, your sync ideas on those were dull. Didn't manage to keep the intensity up |: But, the concept was there for this video to play with. The video just couldn't decide whether to express its concept or its technical form.

I am actually not sure what i should think about this video now....

I also can't decide to hate or to like the song....

Those were the first thoughts that came to my mind when I was watching your video. You made yourself a damn hard work with all those effects. I liked several of them, but mostly it just didn't fit accuratly. It's a major problem with effects videos, the effects just kill it for me. Nevertheless your effects looked really awesome, but..., well I just couldn't connect to the video at all. Your LipSync looked good, but there where those parts where I couldn't decide to look at the lips or at the background scenes. There I come to the next point, I didn't like your mask placement... your background scenes just didn't fit to your masks most of the time, well it just felt not fitting for me. I liked some of them, like the one around 01:30. Next thing the song.... let's just say not my taste. The thing with the convo in the middle of the video was a more or less good idea, but meh you shouldn't have done that...it was totally out of place for me, even though I lol'd....

Well my overall feeling still tends to "I don't like it", but it's still somehow a great effects video I'm gonna keep it for the meantime. I'm gonna give you a weak 4/5 because your effects looked damn awesome (actually I'm not able to do things like that atm).

*throws video into collection, for the meantime*

Lol, Thats such a typical russian video. You Russian's and your FX experiments^^

I liked the Video, it had something that catched my attention and kept me interested through the whole thing. There were some Parts I totally loved and which amazed me, on the other hand there were totally inappropiate parts which disturbed me.

This is definitally a video I have and want to leave a detailed Opinion on, expect one in near future.

cheesy effects usage (3d tunnel and those 2.5d shapes looked horrible), obvious presets (for instance, roughen up edges) and very very random ways to employ these effects in a way too varied way. thus creates almost no flow and makes me laugh at some parts actually.
this basically illustrates the problems I have with all these so called russian experimental videos. It's not to be mistaken for style if you just randomly toss in presets.

sorry, but this couldn't catch me although you do have your basic idea of ae.

>.> I really liked it. I don't know why everyone always makes such a big deal about effects..but I thought it was very neat. I don't have any complaints. 5/5 =)

Conceptually its similar to Condemned Memoir but Kisansi's use of effects to deliver it was cleaner in execution :D anyway I love deep Elfen Lied AMVs which really gets into the character of Lucy so 8.5/10 from me, lost points for white bars because it was distracting :D

these russian songs are awesome =O

Nice AMV.
I liked the concept and your scene choice. I don't really know what to think about things like the break with the audio from the anime, but it added some variety to this video which kept it interesting. I would have to agree with -GfN-, that some effects (e.g. the 3D tunnel and those flying screens) looked cheesy and didn't really fit, but the rotoscoping was definitely well done in my opinion.
Nice effort and certainly not bad for a first try on AE. 3.5/5

One of the best releases this year. Don't know why everyone talks about FX. There is much more in this AMV. Overall atmosphere, depression mood, perfect sync between video and audio, good lip-sync, tons of masks. Great work, I look forward to next work of this author. 5/5

I absolutely agree that FX is the minor side of it. The FXs are far from perfect, but they do their job in creating mood and synching which, however, also has fails in action parts.
I wish this vid good luck on the contest. It left much space for the rivals to override it, but we'll see if they can do it.
