Maybe I'm Crazy - Excel Saga AMV

Hidy ho all, wassup.

Got my 3rd AMV to show you guys, called 'Maybe I'm Crazy.' Lord Ilpalazzo realizes he may be crazy and intends to take everyone with him.

Few things first, as usual:

I made this AMV more on a whim than actually planning to do it, but I still like how it turned out and I'm happy with it. While I still put a good bit of work into it, I don't consider it a huge labor. I think it took around 14 hours, where my other AMVs took much much longer.

Also, my various video-related programs kept giving me a lot of grief, resulting in a bunch of random pixelated colored areas popping up here and there. There was nothing I could do to get rid of them, and it took several attempts to get it as good as it is, so please be gentle on the video quality comments. I'm well aware how less-than-perfect the quality is.

As usual, please comment. I'm not as obsessed about analysis this time; I just hope you enjoy the ride.

The encode doesn't seem to work for me, either in vlc or mplayerclassico - I could play it in vdub, but that sucks, and the screen ratio was like 4:20 or something insane.

Give us a nice skinny mp4. You can request your original entry be deleted and upload another version on local.

The video worked for me when using VLC player. There were glitches appearing every now and then (rainbow specs everywhere) though. I read your comment above about it. Exporting lossless might help. I also agree with Blabbler about going to that guide. It's fantastic.

Besides the slight quality/playback issues, I think the idea for this video was very good.

I haven't seen this anime and I've only read volume 1 of the manga but it's enough to know you made a fantastic song choice. You did a good job lip-syncing at some parts (I loved the "HAHAHA!" at 1:31), and I enjoyed the interesting introduction and ending. Good job matching up the lyrics. A few parts could have been more "out there" in terms of effects but I really like it a lot. Good job.

Thanks. I've been having a hard time trying to compress the files properly. Hopefully my next vid will be an mp4 (finally!).

Okay, this video was very funny (Exel saga is funny itself) but nobody had picked Lord Ilpalazzo funny side (I remember even watching a drama about him O_O) and we have to admit it, he's as ridiculous as their minions. I wanted to see him aligning domino's pieces ¬_¬

The main problem I got was that I only could play it in the virtualdub mod. I use zoom player, and generaly it plays everything but when playing in any other player it was a lot of colorful blocks.

I'll upload the video as a different extension soon if so many people are having issues. I'ma see if I can get it to the fabled mp4 extension! Le gasp!

Glad you enjoyed it.

Now that I think of it, I could've added some of his sillier scenes, but I think the direction of his (SPOILER I GUESS) actual insanity displayed in the later episodes may have prevented stuff like that.

Now about that mp4... *browses guides*
