Because the media sees talking about hate-groups at all the same as giving them an outlet to monger fear and indirectly preach their hatred.Ayanefan wrote:I'm wondering why this is running in the Canadian media and not the U.S.

Well, you're right on that one. Seems that every day, especially on that site, there seems to be nothing but incitement.BasharOfTheAges wrote:Because the media sees talking about hate-groups at all the same as giving them an outlet to monger fear and indirectly preach their hatred.Ayanefan wrote:I'm wondering why this is running in the Canadian media and not the U.S.

I mean, seriously, I would rather, MUCH, rather have Ron Paul as our next President, but let's face the fact that he's out of the running. Since Clinton has a lot of similar qualities to that I want in a president, I guess she's my new support. Not that I have ANYTHING against Barrack Obama. I think he would make a great President, but I just disagree with a lot of things he's for.
And on the note of President-Hating, being From the State that Mike Huckabee governed, I can safely say that if is becomes president, I will move to Canada. :O He totally screws up education (removing MAJOR aspects of curriculum and forcing state testing that doesn't match up to any standards ANY state has in existance) and is totally out to eliminate any feeble existance of equality our nation has (mostly talking about other religions and sexual orientations). Oh, and did I mention he's a close minded pig? :l
You know, I've been thinking for years that the media needs to have tighter reins. Then again, we have that rare pearl here and there that actually has some sort of *positive* impact. While I don't like certain news stations *cough*fox*cough* and the way they handle their news stories, I still believe in the first amendment right almost religiously.Because the media sees talking about hate-groups at all the same as giving them an outlet to monger fear and indirectly preach their hatred.
Hmm... Well, then again, there are people here in my hometown that want him burned at a stake and crucified.I guess people in Canada don't like Obama.

Haha. That's partially true (for me anyways). I still say eh every now and again when talkin with friends, but it's more fun when ur talking to a american. Then again, it's not easy to tell canadians and americans apart, so for all i know i've talked to thousands of americans normally. We dont' so it cuz we hate u, we just think it's funny.Ayanefan wrote: everywhere especially when they add the 'Eh' at the end of they're sentences. You will never hear them say that when they speak with Europeans or other Canadians.
And europeans dont even know that stereotype so there's no point in saying it.
BTW, Canada doesn't hate americans, just ur leaders
Also: I'm not even following the american election, so i have no real favorite, though it think it would be cool the have a black guy as a president (canada had a woman for like 3 months ...didn't go so well, lol).

Actually it is kinda easy. The American is the one who stands up and says "Fuck you all, I'm gonna do what I want and you jackasses can't stop me". The Canadian is the one in a fist fight with an Englishman over who gets to kiss the Americans ass first.guy07 wrote:it's not easy to tell canadians and americans apart
Anyway, to the topic at hand, one of our presidents was shot for the sole reason of trying to impress a movie star. America is a land of wackos and guns so predicting which president is in more danger of getting shot is kinda hard. Obama has the racist assholes who would want him dead. Hillary could bite it from people who make paranoid theories of Clinton/Bush dynasties. McCain has anyone with an ounce of common sense wanting him shot (note to FBI: this is a joke. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows it's far easier to just wait and let dementia eliminate McCain).
