Hi all! Introducing my 2nd AMV ever, "Do the Diggy Dumm!"

The quality is vastly improved from my last AMV (actually got them from DVDs this time!)

Ed sends a musical transmission that takes the world by storm.

Includes dance numbers by the casts of Cowboy Bebop, Azumangah Daioh, FLCL, The Melancholy of Haruhi, and Lucky Star!

Please comment, etc. I can only improve with feedback.

Edit: Nice step up from your last. It seemed pretty well organised but the scenes could have had a better flow to it. Scene choice in a few points could have been a tad better (personally). I liked the little Lucky star part you had organised at the end but the scene with the text seemed to go on alil too long. (just a tad). AR needs work and your quality got better (could be kicked up alil more). But I'm not really into dance vids @.@

Yeah, that's pretty much my impression of it. After a while I was just scrambling for scenes so things obviously lost consistency in flow.

well that was a pleasent suprise, the video was actually WELL worth the watch, don't let the '2nd amv' and wmv packaging fool you!

(btw I've been compressing the avi's made by Sony Vegas into .wmv's by Windows Movie Maker. Is there a better way to do this? Vegas makes like 700 MB avi files. WMM makes them like... 35 MB.)

Come on, people. I don't give half a rat's duke-hole if you don't like it, just as long as you tell me why and how I could improve.

The only reason I post on this site is so I can grow. If I wanted comments bordering on felatio I'd go to you-tube or crunchyroll. They're easy to please.

YOU guys are the ones that have high standards, know-how, etc. YOU guys are the bigwigs, the veterans, the almighty best of the best.

That's why I post my videos HERE, so that maybe with all your experience in making AMVs, I can get better with your comments.

My video has gotten 14 downloads. I've heard from 5 of those people, and only 3 have given me any kind of constructive criticism. You all know how damn long it takes to make AMVs. Mine took a relatively short time compared to some out there. Would you wanna work on something so frigging long to have only 3 people tell you anything worth reading? No.

Sure, hearing, "omgz ur vid iz so cool!!" may make me smile. Hearing "it was pretty crappy no offence" (which I actually got) may make me frown. But only ones that tell me why it's good or why it's bad or how I can improve are the ones that hold any weight to me.

Even if you think it sucks, this video is good for a 2nd video. I've seen 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th videos that don't even TRY to sync up to the music.

So please, reach out to an aspiring AMV artist and give me your thoughts. Without any kind of feedback I'm likely to just quit making them altogether. What's the point of making something if nobody gives a crap to see it? Very little.

If anyone is still reading this long-ass thing, you've given me this much of your attention. Just give me 4 minutes more of it and watch my video, and comment on it. Please.

The way I see it, you have two options. You could watch some other videos here, leave some feedback and comments, and hope others reciprocate... or alternatively, you could namedrop like a mad bastard, make increasingly insane videos as a desperate cry for attention, and pimp your work with astonishing fervour and lack of self-respect.

I know what I'd do.

PS. Your video was undeniably fun and well thought out, with pretty good timing and such.
I didn't like it though, for which I apologise (mainly due to a combination of the song, and dance video burn-out). The quality is indeed, much better than last time, but as mentioned could be improved simply by using mp4 or xvid instead of wmv.
