Country Mix?
Well after watching the amv hell's I want in but there finished but I still want to be part of a big mix of some sorts.
Also I notice theres not alot of country music on this site probably because not to many people listen to country music. But I'm originally a country boy so I like to listen to it often
Now to my point I got to thinking about how I could put these two together. and I got the Idea of doing an animix/amvhell sort of thing but with strickly country music. and the name "Country trail mix" came to mind corny but eh what ever. anyway I've got an idea or two for a few songs. if anyone else is interested in this please contact me.
All Ideas are welcome. even better if you can contact me and offer to make some of them. (as my anime collect hasn't grown 1 dvd in a year T.T) but I only ask that any ideas posted be with country music beyond that I don't care what the anime is bring on the ideas plz

Okay after a bit more thought and suggestions I'm laying down some rules
The "rules":
#1. Have fun be creative.
#2. Try to keep all entries around 45-60 seconds. in some cases more time may be given if needed but 60seconds I think it plenty of tie
#3. Your video must meet the standards required for being uploaded to a-m-v.org. Video source must be anime. No extreme graphic violence, nudity, or sexual content. The "PG-13" standard is in effect here.
#4. You can submit as many entries as you like, provided they are all different. Do not submit multiple entries that only have slight variations from each other.
#5. No Subtitles please unless you create your own.
#6. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If you are found to have submitted the work of another producer without permission and credited yourself with its creation, you will be removed completely from the project AND reported to the 'org admins.
thats about all I've got so far if anyone else has ideas for rules suggestions are welcome I am rather new to the making videos part of this. only been doing it for about 6 months or so.
thanks for reading looking forward to peoples suggestions or videos

i believe one of the reasons theres not so many country videos is the same reason that theres not so many rap videos... the songs are usually story-like and are too specific therefore finding a suitable source material is a lot harder... Rock/pop tend to be very vague in their concepts and express a feeling rather than events/stories.

Exactly. I love country music, myself, but when it comes to making amvs, most country songs simply get too specific with their descriptions.JaddziaDax wrote:i believe one of the reasons theres not so many country videos is the same reason that theres not so many rap videos... the songs are usually story-like and are too specific therefore finding a suitable source material is a lot harder... Between that and the probable low percentage of country lovers, you may have trouble finding people willing to participate. However, I won't say it's a futile attempt. This country video is a personal favorite of mine and may offer some encouragement.

I'm just taking short blips like AMV hell or something like that but to country music. If i had the time right now I'd throw a 5-10 song blip together as an example to but with christmas and work I just don't have times right now. maybe that will be my next video after new years.
some examples I have for short video (ideas) are
5 Oclock some where - alan jackson to trigun (just the course)
ya think cause I'm from the country that I'm dumb well come on a get some- dunno - one Piece again mostly the coruse
he ain't worth a lick - dunno - Gungrave Bear being the fathers and ya figure out from there
see I'm not wanting the FULL songs just short blips that make ya laugh think or just go along with it for a short period thats what I'm hoping for in this country mix

There's a good song by Puscifer though, that is somewhat country-ish. Though you can't really tell it's a country song. Experimental/Industrial Country?

done
okay I got a quick example done but its not all country music its just a random mix of music and anime. BUT i feel that it shows what i mean by short little sectionsof anime to country that people seem to not get. but anyway look for it on my profile coming soon i just need to it a run threw a time or two to make sure everything is up to my standards of no flickers. and the action and music going well together. but i have a feeling I did a really wicked job and it actually inspired me to make a few of the blips into full amvs so look for a couple of new ones.
yak ya all bak later
