Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Countdown

This video was started on the third of July 2007. It took me until January 1st/2nd 2008 to finish editing (depending on where you are in the world). I have spent the last three days locked in a struggle to encode the lagarith export from premiere, and my hosting has decided to tank. Finally, through the use of mp4box and AutoMKV 0.93, I succeeded. The bitrate is high, and the mp4 is a bit heavier than I would like, but the video is clean and clear, so I think you'll survive. No xvid version. Shit's heavy, and ugly, even at a high bitrate, and you shouldn't need it any more. Mp4 hosted at the vault. You may wish to amend the file to 2008, depending on whether you think of it as a 2007 video or a 2008 video. Zip is 2008, file says 2007.

Thanks to Aesling, Orwell, and Minion.

Good stuff kio. There was a flicker in your transition or overlay at the very beginning. Nice sync. Liked the vid overall.

Not to make it seem like I'm ONLY paying attention to that in the whole video, but the internal sync was very nice and surprisingly consistent - which was great since it showed that those internal bits weren't just random fluff thrown in for convenience, but rather nicely planned.

It flowed well, especially as the song picked up. Early on there were some bits that I thought could be tightened up editing-wise, but as I say - it picked up rather nicely. And the rather limited source didn't hurt it at all as far as scene choices either.

Good stuff! I keep, for sure.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Any VOADS AMV is a  from me.

Will edit when finished.

EDIT: wow... that was awesome. I think it was the pace and internal sync, but this had me really absorbed right til the end.

Two thumbs up from me d('-'d) and a 5/5
