Sakura-Con 2008
Anime Music Video / Original Animation
Contest Rules
The Contest:
The Sakura-Con Anime Music Video / Original Animation Contest gives fans a chance to showcase their audio and video editing talents. This contest is open to anyone from amateur to professional, and is separated into two main types of video editing:
--Anime Music Videos (AMVs) are created by combining video footage from any Japanese animation show, movie, or video game and synchronizing it to music.
--Original Video Animations (OVAs) are original works created using any type of animation; 2D cel animation, 3D computer animation, stop motion, or anything else the creator imagines.
The Competition:
The 2008 Competition will be broken into two separate levels of showing:
--General Exhibition: This category is designed for those who wish to showcase their work outside of competition.
--General Competition: These videos compete against each other in respective categories. The winners will be decided by an audience vote.
Staff: As the contest is voted upon by the audience, and the screening process is anonymous, staff are eligible for all levels of competition.
OVA Contest: For the OVA Contest to be held, there must be a minimum of three (3) OVAs from different entrants that pass the screening panel.
Exhibition: Entrants who have submitted videos to the Exhibition level of competition are not eligible to submit to the General Competition level, and vice versa.

I havent figurred that out yet BUT
I do have the download speed capped at 1kps and I keep the Server's Interface open (Im using filezilla) so when I notice someone downloading I boot them, and if they persist the IP is banned
also every week I move the uploaded files from the FTP Directory into the Directory I work out of for organising the files for screening so the uploaded files dont stay accessable to the server for too long

You've got some wrong dates there:
Sakura-Con 2006 AMV/OVA Contest
c/o Tom Allmendinger
9226 Fruitland Ave E
Puyallup, WA 98371
And the rules at http://sakuracon.org/contests/amv/docum ... _rules.php show besides the previous mentioned also:
17: Entries must have been made during the time elapsed since the end of
Sakura-Con 2006
The first thing should be obvious, but the second can add some invalid entries for people who has only read the rules in the Sakura-con website.
