I already watched it earlier today, you got a QC as well ;P

No cookie for you

Never had a video jumped that fast though. You are a good stalker :P
ScorpionP wrote:I don't have much to say really. I loved the mood (it was quite an opposite from the last 2-3 videos you made, which made me happy , because I like lighthearted and cheerful videos more) as well as the scene selection. Sync wasn't bad either but I just didn't like it that much for some reason.

But overall, a nice quickie video
I'm hoping to make more videos in this style this year, so you're in luck :O

Zetzu: Tis okay, all is forgiven.
Fall_Child42 wrote:not bad, great internal synch ... i didn't like the solid black moments, but most of it was spot on.

i give this a 9/12
I hope this is the end of my solid black fetish, cuz I'm getting sick of it myself. But thanks Todd!
Neverend wrote:The song you used, was really amazing i thought it was really cool that you used such an original song!

The video editing was really clean, and i think youve got a really good concept!
You did a great job mate! I really do like your videos!
Yer just kissin ass <:l

Seriously, thanks :)

Douggie: Reigna gets a hazelnut cookie.

On fixing things: I was experimenting with timing this time around, so I actually spent an hour slightly desynching certain areas. As retarded at that may sound, it helped to give the video the look I wanted.

On repeating similar scenes: One of my favorites when done right. I just gotta get better.

On black parts: You did influence me to try to use the cuts to black more intelligently.

On credit fonts: You cannot deny how badass that font is. I was going for an I Am Legend feel :P

I shoulda known if someone was gonna like the black parts, it woulda been you
Fizziks wrote:The music that you used in this AMV was very fitting, and blended well with your scene selection. Good work, I enjoyed it!
More props for Kings Of Leon, I like it! Thanks man!
Niwa-kun wrote:u got a cool video there O:
Not as cool as your 3d-motion Blender animated hand-drawing based world revolutionizing Toki video :O

Bauzi: BOO! Kings Of Leon rocks, and singerwho'snameIforgot is awesome. But I will try the karaoke. Also, I need to edit an action video for you.

With the exception of the ramdom black spots, I'm giving this a lovely 4.50/5.00 for uniqueness of the video. ^_^

Heeeey... I know this song. It plays on my Pandora's "Arctic Monkeys Radio". =D

Anyway, I really liked it, even if I don't understand much about the video. It just felt good watching, and one I'll keep. In my eyes, this is your best yet. How weird is that?

You know my only existence here is to click every 5 secs on refresh, to see if someone uploads a new video O:

Actually there is a function named "My Alerts" =P

good stuff overall, Greg. I felt there could have been more beat synch in there but it wasn't really a problem, couldn't understand the lyrics so I really don't know if that would help grasping your concept well on this one :P. But I liked it a lot, maybe your best, I'm still not sure. Anyway, very fitting editing though some of your black spots still left me with a "what!? why he did that?" feeling (like in your last vid), but some of them were used well lol. I especially liked a lot the part from 1:40-1:56, dunno why but it looked really well and it was very in harmony with the song at that point.

I liked how you played with the logo at the end XD

Really enjoyed that, easy to follow what you were doing. My favourite bit was from the cut to black at about 1:30 when you switch into a predictable (in the engaging sense) series of cuts followed by the fade to black bits.

'twas really cool.

Incidentally, there are a lot of cuts where you miss the beat: eg. the first and second cuts are slightly early, then the third one is spot on. Is this intentional? Because it doesn't *feel* wrong.
Is it perhaps some kind of ancient, mystical editing technique, whereby you bring the image in early to allow the old grey matter to interpret what's happening on screen, before the corresponding sound arrives?
Just wondering, as you could easily hit the beat, or come in a half-beat early, but you're about a third of a beat off, and it still flows naturally.

Nice video, Greg. Something about it just made it feel sort of different, and I'd say that's a good thing. Not sure how much I liked those hard cuts to black, but otherwise, fun stuff. Oh, and you win again for the music in your credits. XD
Cookie! :O

I'll take the chance to say here you are awesome for recognizing 30 Seconds to Mars in the other credits, and yeah, I had fun with these xD

Well, to be honest with you i didn't like it. It was too simple for me and i didn't get it, i guess there is some connections with the lyrics but i don't know. And yeah the video quality is low. The song was different, didn't really like it, but the guitar was okay. This outro was TOO simple, seriously :D, i laughed. For a 6 hour video it was okay, but...

Thanks a lot! I was trying to give the anime a different spin, so I'm happy you saw it that way.

Clearly, this is a good radio

I didn't stop to ask myself who would like this, but if I had, I probably would've guessed you, melee. Not that you're predictable, just that you're awesome. So yeah, thanks :)

It's great to hear you feel the black spots were used (slightly) better this time. If I ever use em again, hopefully it'll be right.

And I tried to make our studio proud with credit abuse :amv:

blabber: Glad you liked 1:30, as that was probably my biggest gamble in the video. As for the editing, there is intentional missing of the beat. It's all done on feeling; that's just how I edit, and though there may be some science behind it for pros, I'm not aware of it. But I'm sure you'll get to it eventually :)

Cool video, I love the music, very glad to watch amvs with this kind of music.
Editing is simple but nice, I particularly like moments as 00:54 -> 01:09 or 01:40 -> 01:56, they are very cool moments =)

One thing I don't like in this video, it's the end music. Not just because I do not appreciate it, because it is too too different of the principal music, there is a too big changement of style. I found your outro a little too long also.

But yep, good job, 4/5
