In terms of technical, the edits seemed in pace with the song. I couldn't find any jump frames either, especially when presented with sped up footage.

Unfortunately the content doesn't have a lot to offer. Just a lot of random people fighting. Even though I've seen Samurai Champloo, I didn't get a sense of who the characters were from this AMV. You had a good set up in the very beginning with your characters running in and out, which made a good introduction. But the vid immediately goes into random fighting after that. In the future, be sure to establish characters first by using for example, profile shots, so that we may get familiar with them before action takes over.

Not a lot of original concepts presented either. Champloo is an anime open to a lot of unique choices in terms of editorial style. Be sure to keep in mind the style you want to portray in the future, because it can help the appeal of the video.
Here's a simple Champloo video edited by blabber, that uses a unique style: "be.champloo."

Overall, I give the vid a 3/5, because it is average.
Keep it up Melee.

why the letterboxing?
video was really lacking in some of the slower parts of the song. like 1:07-1:18. it was inconsistent on what you chose to sync to as well.
couldn't get into this one. it's just too average/mediocre stuff. was expecting something more after that cool rahxephon vid
KioAtWork: I'm so bored. I don't have class again for another half hour.
Minion: masturbate into someones desk and giggle about it for the remaining 28 minutes

feedback-feedback already?

@scott: Hey, this isn't a competition, but my video IS a more obvious approach to the song.

@servo: I think I exhibited my own take on champloo, its just not readily apparent or even all that flashy, such in that video you linked. If you're curious of what you missed (or what I failed to make clear to you by just watching the video) I'll explain.

@minion: Letterboxing? Because. "1:07-1:18" looks good to me, how was it "lacking"? I'll admit I got a little lazy after that (around 1:30-1:41), which was probably why you said the sync was inconsistent. Also, I know it was a 180 from my previous video, but I wanted to try something like this. =/

@shino: Hah, glad someone liked the ending, there's a use for the letterboxing right there. =D
