Story of My Life
My Name is Jonas
Even Flow
Cherub Rock
3's & 7's
Knights of Cydonia
Cliffs of Dover
The rest suck, with a few exceptions.
I'm sure Flint will castrate me, but that's a very similar 'set list' I play for fun minus Even Flow (got sick of this song in HS), Story of my Life and 3's & 7's (I HATE THAT BAND SO MUCH! WANT TO RIP MY EARS OFF).
But yeah I usually do something like...
Cliffs of Dover
My Name is Jonas
Cherub Rock
Welcome to the Jungle (too easy imo)
La Grange
Knights of Cydonia
Cliffs of Dover
At the same time I think some of the songs I don't play are good songs, but not as fun as these.
Dang I haven't played GHII in forever. I should remedy that tonight and try to remember my set list for that. I know it had Sweet Child of Mine, Carry on Wayward Son and Message in a Bottle (can you tell I love the 80's?), but beyond that, I forget.
I'm not flint, I'm just using his avatar in memory of him (he's trying to go away from the org or whatever

).
As far as having a dislike for classic rock, I don't think I can understand that. A large chunk of my favorite music is very classic rock inspired (most progressive rock and metal), or actually classic rock (Rush, Queen, Floyd). Granted, it's your opinion, and you're allowed to that... but it doesn't mean you have good taste in music. And GnR aren't classic rock, not by a long shot... They're that weird 80s amalgamation that was Pop Metal. Some people call it hair metal, and while they did have that going on some, it wasn't as bad as quite a few others.
Inversely, I have a real heavy distaste for most 90s "alternative". Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Live, Collective Soul, Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, I can't enjoy it in general. Like I said before, it bores me to tears. When it's slow, it's three chords over and over again, therefore not interesting. And when it's fast, its the same three or four power chords over and over again. Still not interesting.
