Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

You shouldn't make a video that requires low expectations. :?
Why not?

..which opens a whole new conversation about whether amvs should be made for fun or to meet peoples' expectations or to be original and why and stuff, which isn't supposed to be had at this thread. So yeah.

No it doesnt.

A video can and SHOULD do both. Thats why we're all here instead of noobtube. Because its the type of place where you can explore both of those and all of that. If you make a video that you know is crap, work on it til its better. That should be obvious. As a creator you should feel the urge to put out something nice and polished that you can be proud of instead of going "Heres a video I worked on for 7 hours, dont expect much"

i liked the start, but i didnt rly like it past second 50, it somewhat breaked the atmosphere the intro was building up, expected something more.

Other than some TV effects, I don't think it's really similar.. F.E.A.R. being a trailer and all. But thanks.

I thought the mood and atmosphere were great. And I did like how you used the TV effects. There's just one thing I thought was a little awkward.

I've never tried something like that before but it seems to me that when you put a TV frame around a scene it implies that there was a camera at said scene. And there is no way a camera would be aimed down the active business ends of Alucard's pwn-sticks and stay recording. For those parts I probably would have stayed with the standard static mood you had for much of the rest of it. Either that or use more scenes where it would be conceivable that there is a camera there.

Also, that flying screen part was rather random.
