I was a bit disappointed. It seemed pretty average to me. The video doesn't add much to the song and the song simplifies the series. There have been so many excellent Eva videos that it has a pretty tough standard to compare to. I enjoyed the last video I watched of yours more (Subsonic).

I'll agree that it can be interesting to see the mood of a series completely changed. In that regard, I liked the zooms (which appear to be the main point of discussion) because they seem lighthearted and upbeat. The shots of Asuka being silly and angry also worked well. But then you have sequences like 3:06 to 3:36 that indicate this is not supposed to be a simple love story and we end up somewhat disconnected and confused. The only reaction we're really allowed is comedy, and that just didn't work for me. The fighting in general is characterized as "whatever makes you happy" and that didn't really mold the song and series together for me in a serious video.CrackTheSky wrote: rofl
The song is SUPPOSED to simplify the series, if I were to really delve into the symbolism and meaning behind everything regarding Asuka and Shinji's relationship, this video would be at least ten minutes long, would be ridiculously confusing, and would have a very different feeling to it. In short, it would be a completely different video and that's not what I wanted Wink In my opinion at least, the song does a nice job of summing up Shinji and Asuka's relationship in about four minutes and that's all it's meant to do in the context of this video.
