i usually don't pay much attention to the scores I get but more so what the person has to say... I perfer to hear personal experiences or personal statements rather than read people prattling about numbers...

I think my favorites so far are things I've gotten for Something Fishy, stuff about not being able to go down the isle at the store with the tuna and can't stop laughing, or ones about annoying their parents/family/friends with singing the song :3 that stuff ammuses me to no end O:

however when I do look at scores the ones I usually focus on are the ones i know I'ma get low scores on which are usually stuff like lipsync, but at the end of the day I'm not overly bothered by low scores on those areas because I expect them.

Using white flashes too much, or timing every little drum beat can be really hard to watch.

All is important. most of all the mix of them. A video with perfekt effects but in the others ther is it shit, then it is shit. Is all good than it is a really good video. The mix of all is the important thing.

because they are added by the editor and are not part of the original footage.

Then even cuts should count as effects.

Not cuts (nothing is added) - but fades, and any other form of non straight cut transition is an effect by that definition.

And who "made that definition"?

For me everything that's listed as effects in the editing software is an effect.

I go by:
AbsoluteDestiny wrote:Examples of special effects include masking, rotoscoping, colour manipulations, 2D and 3D original animation, image distorting, warping, morphing, transitions and so on.

Dissolves, fades and fast cuts are not special effects.

don't tell me you say if a Video has strobes and flashes it also should be listed as "Video with effects" in the catalog?! :?
