im bored as hell so im butting in
if you thought about it for a second you would realise why he choose each clip. the video actually relies on lyric sync most of the time which is a diffrent style of editing as apposed to a bunch of random sword fighting scenes where you you have flashes on every beat.
Definatly agreed with the quotes. I smell hypocrisy too in here.NerdStrudel wrote:The way I see it Kadaj and Kev can't really tell anybody to have "interesting" and "New" editing methods. Hypocrisy at its finest.
It was different, not in the way of editing. It had the same raw editing that every FF vid has, just slower. it's different because nobody gets punched in the face or has crazy motorcycle chase.
This was one of the better FF:AC vids I saw. It wasn´t just the usual:
bam bam bam - oh I saw this same shit of action vid many times before - bam bam bam - unoriginal - bam bam bam
This video really fits to the song and there are just one, two or three where I think that it should be different (just some scenes a bit short; 5, 10 frames... nothing big). It created a really good picture of an situation of the world in AC. Really good symbolic lyric sync (for ex: "turning the cheak..."). A really nice atmosphere and mood. Ok towards the end it was a bit randomn sometimes: but who cares? I heard everything I need to know about the atmosphere and the mood in the parts before. It was a fine combination of picking pieces out of the situation to bring them back in mind (even if you didn´t thought about it as editor) and a bit action to bring more a bit of a "drama" (remeber: you can use this word in many ways and I don´t know how to express myself better now), meshed up with the mood that went on. It worked great and didn´t bored me at any time.
4.25/5
Yeah it really surprised me to see such a good vid after reading the comments.
Please keep up with this sort of editing and don´t give a fuck about these dickheads. Seriously: please don´t give a shit about them and don´t stop. This is the right direction your going, away from the everyday flashy and mindless crap.
Edit: Let´s put it on the "I might give it an op when I find some time"-list.
Oh! No wait... I would have to redownload it. mp4s on local FTW damn it!
