Yeah, i can see why some people might not be into this one
but I enjoyed it myself though.
I really like the way you edited this and like narutoball said, I could actually watch it :P
Good scene selection and a very nice song too.
I'll sum it up by saying...

Its very beautiful, dude!
*cries*
x2!!!!

I lubbed it! One of the best FF videos I've seen in a while.

I loved the subtle yet appropriate editing. It really seems to sing to the source footage as well as the song. We non-special-effects editors are really getting the shaft lately. -_-'

Wasn't random to me either. I think I got the gist of the concept.

Very nice. ^_^
The style I chose for this vid fits fine. Having "zomg" amazing effects would of made the vid worse. The song is like narrating a story, you dont need the vid to rely heavily on effects. Once again, thats your opinion.
Loved the style. Don't change a thing. ^_^

I digress.

4.50/5.00

The edit complimented the video well in my opinion...the video was not really random as a whole...I just couldn't get into the picture as a whole but I watched from beginning to end. Hey, it is your vid..be proud it...

Wow this video was horrible, I really expected a lot better from you KD. The first thing that really bothered me was that there was barely any flow. Let me clarify that, there was flow but it was disjointed. You didn't keep a constant flow and switched from slow paced to fast paced scenes where it didn't work to do it. You can have slow paced scenes at parts of the song that are fast and vice versa but you have to skew the editing to make it flow properly to the music. Especially with using Crisis Core footage and AC footage you had enough source to make this video flow better but for some reason just didn't. The second problem I saw was the quality of the encode, this is the worst looking AC and CC footage I have ever seen. AC looks a lot better than this even in Standard Definition and I believe CC is in High Definition on the UMD discs, although I'm not certain about that, either way it doesn't look this bad. I'm not sure what filter you used or how you encoded it but it definitely looks like you did something wrong to really make the footage look horrible but the same consistency of horrible looking footage so thats why I assume you messed it up. You also encoded h.264 into 640x360 which should be impossible since its only supposed to be divisible by 16 and I'm not sure why there was a popping noise at the very beginning of the video. Overall this video was sub-par and definitely not what I expected from you and just seemed like the same old rehashed stuff but you didn't even pull it off effectively. I will give you a 2/5 for effort though.

Hey if you didn't want it you shouldn't have released the video. I'm still wondering how you got such bad quality and forced h.264 to encode in an improper resolution.

All i've got to say is censored. Like you know shit about what I've been doing since before the summer.

Ok, here's your "real" review.

First of all, the quality sucked. Advent Children has set the standards high and this seemed rather like a terrible rip, downloaded footage or lack of knowledge on how to export and compress.

"Raw" editing with FF VII would just be boring, "f-x are baad and i automatically say so because effects need effort and i need an excuse", so let's go for the lyric synch? Well someone would expect that it should have a concept or a row of events. The lyric synching, when it was actually done, was taken too literally, which lead to a zig-zag between various scenes that seemed totally random. Cloud dies, sephiroth appears, cloud fights on bike, cloud drops from the skies, cloud rides bike, cloud is back fighting bahamut that died earlier. This just seemed terribly weird and was the main reason I consider the video "random". Having a flow of events does not automatically make your video uninteresting and unoriginal. Example of correct AC editing. See? That's not random. And it's not unoriginal like you're claiming a video that actually has a story is. Wow. Impossible.

2/5 once again.

I myself enjoyed this :)

the editing and flow were very well done IMO, the AMV entertained me throught the 4 minutes without a problem, and the connection between the game and AC was very well done. Good work, but saddly I have to agree with the quality whores here: "it hurted to see it in full screen", now I have no problems in watching it in normal screen, so its not a turn down on it for me.

Anyway good work KD :)

Nope you can encode with it, it just doesn´t work as "good" (personaly I don´t see high differences) as a multiple of 16 ress. If you encode XviD with something that isn´t divisible by 8, than the difference is really really obvious.

Ok I posted here, I´ll get it >_> I´m kinda interessted into it, because of the reviews.

you're right. I don't know if you're going to do something revolutionary, you very well could be. And you aren't a bad editor. That's not what i'm saying. all I'm saying is that so far. Nothing new.
