I think I'll just do a general reply thing, as people are saying pretty much the same stuff.
I agree the pacing could've been better on this. I was focusing on very specific things making this video, namely getting the mood I wanted right. To be completely honest though, I'm really losing interest in straight up beat-sync, so that's not something you should expect from me in the future. But if you look at your library of videos, I'm pretty sure you'll find at least a few videos that don't focus on beat sync as much as they do on pace and general feel editing. This is the dominating trend in music videos today, and it's a style I enjoy a lot more than straight-up beat sync, which just bores me to edit.
Although it's very underrepresented in the AMV world today, I think most of you enjoyed videos like Spukhaftige Fernwirkung and daydream, and well, that's what I'm aiming at, eventually. This is definitely a transitional phase for me, and this video is flawed in many ways, but it's a necessary step for me. I was never a quick study, but I can improve, with time. In the meanwhile, I guess I enjoy this video for what it is, and not what it isn't. And if that sounds to you like a crappy Ayumix-styled comment, I really don't mean it to be. Different strokes for different folks, and when I get to where I wanna be, maybe I can convince you there's a lot more to editing than beat synch
Thanks for all the comments, everybody!
