Just for being Gankutsuou and for being your amv,I'll check it.
And I totally agree with the vid description, this anime is one of a kind. One of my top 5 by far
Will comment later...

Edit:
Sorry but it seemed bad to me Greg.Maybe due to my not liking this kind of music.
The music didn't fit with Gankutsuou imo,the scenes used were sometimes misplaced and there wasn't a good synch at some places.Personally,I didn't like this change of style by your side but this is your decision not mine. :D

3/5 from me

The editing pace was just a tad bit too slow for me, though, and also wasn't fond of the moments where u left the video blank, though I can see what you're trying to do there. Some of the scenes did not make sense to me. Then again, maybe I need to watch the series(which I intend to do someday)

Otherwise, g/j. The video quality was pretty awesome.

EDIT: I take it back, I dunno where I got the tad bit slow pacing part from, I think there was one part that was and it stood out enough for me to think so I guess.

Not bad at all, Greg :D
Just thought that pacing was slower than it should've been and a bit more beat sync wouldn't hurt either. Still, I enjoyed it pretty much

Agreed with Scorpion there. The pacing should have been lots faster to keep up with this song. More beat sync would have been more appropriate as the lack of intensity was a killer at least for me.. Kinda big killer that is.. There would have been a chance to fix that by adding lots of action and internal sync stuffs but it only had a few moments of that, I'm afraid.

This was horror? Ó.ò I couldn't really tell what you were trying to say with this video though the footage looked quite nice 8-) I'm sorry to say this, but the video didn't really work for me for the lack of beat sync and clip selection coherency.. But thanks for your efforts cause it really did have a cool concept/idea on the background 8-)

2/5

Hmm, i didn't like it, maybe i don't get it at all, but it was too random for me i guess. The straight cuts didn't work that well on following the beats imo, some of them were good though, for example the outbursts are fine. Mature? This didn't feel as a mature video, i don't know what you place under the category "mature" video, they f*ck in the video, is that it? So i didn't feel the matureness in this, but i can't really name an amv i'd call mature ( i mean one what is matured than the others)... Anyway, the video quality was okay, the audio too. I didn't like the fast start, maybe a logo or something could be placed there, just not to be so rapid on starting the video. Other than that, it was okay, but you made a lot better vids than this.

I think I'll just do a general reply thing, as people are saying pretty much the same stuff.

I agree the pacing could've been better on this. I was focusing on very specific things making this video, namely getting the mood I wanted right. To be completely honest though, I'm really losing interest in straight up beat-sync, so that's not something you should expect from me in the future. But if you look at your library of videos, I'm pretty sure you'll find at least a few videos that don't focus on beat sync as much as they do on pace and general feel editing. This is the dominating trend in music videos today, and it's a style I enjoy a lot more than straight-up beat sync, which just bores me to edit.

Although it's very underrepresented in the AMV world today, I think most of you enjoyed videos like Spukhaftige Fernwirkung and daydream, and well, that's what I'm aiming at, eventually. This is definitely a transitional phase for me, and this video is flawed in many ways, but it's a necessary step for me. I was never a quick study, but I can improve, with time. In the meanwhile, I guess I enjoy this video for what it is, and not what it isn't. And if that sounds to you like a crappy Ayumix-styled comment, I really don't mean it to be. Different strokes for different folks, and when I get to where I wanna be, maybe I can convince you there's a lot more to editing than beat synch :)

Thanks for all the comments, everybody!
