Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Oh... just, holy shit wow! this was... well, let me explain it better.

These are a few of my favourite things:

1- Ayumi Hamasaki techno (ftw!!! hax0r it makes me orgasm just knowning someone did a MEP to this! let alone two! *drools*)
2- A lot of good, classic girly anime and some others that aren't really well known.(Sailor Moon, pretear, black cat, shakugan no shana- totally my top favs right under HxH!!!!)
3- Good AMVs with plot and interesting creative effects, amazing storyline and great scene selection.
4- People who respond well to input from their fans and always show improvement in their work (totally you guys, no matter what anyone else says)
5-Other sets of sisters who get along so well as a family (like my oneechan and me) and can edit together- that's the cutest thing ever!!! ^^

And this is you guys butchering all of my favourite things.

Most of these tracks were random bits from the anime's, either overcleaned, interlaced, not cleaned or just plain butchering what I liked about these animes. Most of the beats were off, the effects were cheesy and overabused presets for basic editing programs and it didn't sync well overall.
Your responses remind me of a bunch of children- who handed in their first essay and were told they needed improvement- having a tantrum. Talk about pretentious- you make a big fuss over 'don't crit us unless you can do better' but the people who ARE better than you give you their opinions and you're still having a tantrum.

This display of immaturity and drama-queen behaviour is a shameful example to new members like me- who look to people like you for inspiration and advice. I'm surprised you haven't been banned for your flaming and responses (most of which I notice are deleted) to constructive comments- real shinning examples right there.

But as for the good- it was bright and shiny and track transitions were the smoothest i've ever seen, and I like the music.

Good luck at improving for next year.

I think tantrums is kind of an overstatement imo.
I went through this entire thread and saw the occasional member defending their track, but nothing i would call a tantrum.

Edit: The project is done and over with, if you didn't like it, that's fine, if you want to comment, thats fine, but the back and forth arguments are ridiculous. =/

this video gets a thumbs up from me, good work

The project is done and over with, if you didn't like it, that's fine, if you want to comment, thats fine, but this is really just an announcement thread. What that means to me is that we are letting people know it has been released so they can watch it. This thread should be for minor comments, as Deshi has said, if you want to leave constructive criticism, just leave an opinion for crying out loud. The back and forth arguments are ridiculous. This my friends is not an opinion thread.

To the mods, sorry for the spam in replying to the spam.
I'd suggest you re-read 'deshi's post we are not supposed to discuss how to give crit on this thread, this is an anouncement forum you are supposed to discuss the video, which means you give your opinion on it.
And I'd ask you to refrain from flaming myself and other editors like me by insinuating lack of capability but then again no one else who said similar things on the thread seems to be banned(eh sweets has a point there) and we aren't likely to actually cry or care for your comments (it's called thick skin, but it seems a mite unfair to me *shrugs*).
Then again what would I know, you just joined a few days ago so obviously know better than those of us who've been here for years and have been watching this whole drama play out, I'd bow down to your supperior skills and perceptions except that would inferr that 1 person is better than another and since it's been stated clearly that could never be, i shan't.

CHii- I believe she was refering to the (8?) pages of deleted posts and journal entries

I think this thread is just going to continue to deviate while people keep spamming and attacking anyone with less than 100% praise for the video (whether it be on the thread or through journals), which is sad really. There's prolly only 1 way to stop it... :amv:
new banzors in the making :p

Well, some things could have been better but overall I liked it. The cube thing was very cool. I found kinda meh the Haruhi/Lucky Star clip... but well, i think that this is a 4/5 and something more maybe.
